Lewis-Riggs Custom Guitars Scams Guitar Money from 9 year old girl in Orlando, Florida

I ordered a guitar from Lewis-Riggs Guitars for my daughter's 9th birthday. When the guitar never arrived, I checked into this company and the person who received the money, Dario Melendez (listed as the V.P. of Lewis-Riggs Guitars). You can see Dario's mugshot at . I called the 2 telephone numbers on their website. One number was wrong, the other number was out of service. I emailed Lewis-Riggs Custom Guitars but never received a response. I then went to the address listed on its website. The business address is a residential home in an Orlando suburb. No one answered the door. I spoke with the neighbors and checked with the Orange County Property Appraiser and learned that a "little old lady" lives there. Lewis-Riggs and Dario Melendez are not known at this address and they, nor the business, are the owners of the property. I'm now scrambling to buy a replacement gift for my daughter and I don't have time to specially order the guitar by this Saturday's party. Meanwhile, Barry Lewis ( @guitarbldr ) is Tweeting about smoking pot, admiring women, and avoiding being arrested by undercover cops! How else can this be characterized except there are 2 more people out there who would rather scam people than provide honest service, even if a 9 year old girl is hurt in the process. Hopefully, this report will help you avoid the same situation.
