Lenz Auto Bought A Lemon Fond du lac, Wisconsin |

Don't purchase a vehicle from Lenz Auto!!! I feel obligated to warn other consumers about Lenz Auto!! I bought a complete lemon from this company in July 2009. My husband and I test drove a 2000 Cadillac Catera on a Wednesday. It drove good, but we noticed that a light was on the dashboard. We spoke with the sales person who stated that they will get they will work to see what the problem is and get it corrected before we pick up the vehicle. We came back that Thursday and we was assured that everything was fine with the car. We signed all the necessary paperwork and got in our vehicle and turned the car on, and the light was was still on. He said that he will have the mechanic to look at it. He came back and said that the light was probably just stuck and it shouldn't be a problem. We took the car for emissions on Friday and it failed. They said that the O2 Oxgen sensor needed to be replaced. We took the car to a mechanic and it cost over $500 to get this repaired. Our mistake--we should have taken the car directly back to Lenz Auto. A few weeks later, we had to replaced the battery. Since then, we have had nothing but trouble with this car. A couple months later, the engine light came on (as well as several other lights) and we had to replace the tires on this car numerous times within a six month time frame. Since we had this car, I can honestly tell you that we put a minimum of $3000 on it in repairs. It seems like everytime we fix the car, something else goes wrong! Am I upset with Lenz Auto--absolutely! Would I purchase another vehicle from Lenz Auto....absolutely not!! But, I'm more upset with myself. I can't say it enough....please do your homework!! Get a carfax on any car you plan to purchase. Please have a trusted mechanic look over your car before you purchase it. If any lights are on (check engine light), do not purchase the vehicle...this is your warning sign. Also, don't be so desperate to purchase a vehicle, especially if your credit is less than perfect and you feel you have no other alternative. Please don't make the same mistakes that we did...don't purchase from Lenz Auto. I think back to how nice and friendly the salesmen were. He showed us pictures of his family and children and he spoke of them often...this was nothing more than a sales pitch!!! Beware!!! Lenz Auto is dishonest and go there at your own risk!!! |
