You would think that a black own tax service franchise would to take pride in providing the best service to its people вЂњwhere the public trusts is a number one priority.вЂќ Yet, instead they prey on low income African Americans including Latinos and anyone else who is foolish enough to go to them for their services charging individuals high exorbitant fees to file their taxes. "LBS" #1 excuse for every situation is вЂњthat every LBS tax office is independently own and operated.вЂќ In other words, theyвЂ™re not at fault if you got screwed. Every owner ultimate goal is to get a 1000 clients and charge a minimum of $500 to make half a million dollars to open up more office with the same goals in mind. The company hires people from craigslist offering them high hopes that they will become tax preparers and make lots of money by doing some sales and marketing, but what they fail to tell you is that you will be used for a couple days for free labor. In which you will distribute fliers or business cards, or try to talk to individuals to get them to come to the office, and in the last minute they will let you go, and say that вЂњyou didnвЂ™t make the cutвЂ¦вЂќ вЂњThey call this term free bandsвЂ¦вЂќ the reality is that if you donвЂ™t want to get screwed by this franchise вЂњstay away from them.вЂќ They donвЂ™t care whether youвЂ™re a client or an employee, everyone seems to have a вЂњme first mentallyвЂ¦вЂќ Especially the owners, itвЂ™s ashamed that вЂњLBSвЂќ is giving itself a bad name from the start, because this only fuels stereotypesвЂ¦, but then again, what would I knowвЂ¦?
