Colina Square Apartments is a nice enough place to live, its quiet and things are pretty adequate. If you want to be left alone and have nothing fixed and live with very thin walls this is the place for you. Im writing this to inform others, I wasnt a bad tenant that was evicted or broke my lease, I paid my rent on time every month, I kept to myself, and didnt complain about the lack of repairs. The other tenants that live here are very friendly and its a very family orientated place, many families live here and the onsite maintenance/manger guys are very nice, but their hands are tied on most things due to Kimberly Lester, the owner. I also suggest you read your lease from front to back and be sure you actually get a copy of the lease, making a note that she will take out monies to clean, even if its not cleaned for you when you move in. Kimberly Lester, the property manager and owner is a nightmare to deal with, her website is full of information that is fraud, she has no office, she has no fax number, she never answers her phone and she rarely responds to emails. I had to literally hound her for months to get a copy of my lease during which time; she called me a liar on more than one occasion. Keep in mind this woman had never met me and all I wanted was a copy of my lease, I asked every month for 10 months and then on the 11th month I emailed her every single day, and instead of just being a professional business woman and providing me a copy she called me liar and said I should have gotten one and then took another 27 days to produce it. Then I asked about renewing my lease to which she literally never responded to me. So instead of living in place where you are treated so poorly I chose to leave. If you leave here and you want your security deposit back I suggest that you make sure you keep a copy of the damage list from when you move in, take pictures and hound this woman to the point of threatening to sue her because that is what it took for me. Washington state law states that they have 10-14 business days to either contact you about not getting your deposit back or provide you with the refund. Of course she did not comply and I had to fight her tooth and nail and only got my refund when I threatened to file a claim with the Attorney Generals office, The Better Business Bureau and numerous other outlets, I also suggest you ask for this check in person because shell give you the line that its in the mail and she doesnt send it certified so she can claim its lost. |
