Great Clips (#4961) 130 N Denton Tap Rd Ste 115 Coppell, TX 75019-2151 TDLR Facility License #: 678511 Phone: 972-462-9370 or 469-549-4747 About 3 months ago, my daughter and I went to visit to get a haircut with Ken Ngo at 600 E Sandy Lake Blvd in Coppell. We have been customers of Ken Ngo during the time when he was working at Great Clips (#4961) on N Denton Tap Rd and thought we could bring him some business at his new place.
The one day we were at his new salon, one of his employees was cutting my hair. She seemed like a nice lady. She had her children with her and it seems that she was a hard working mother who mentioned to me that she could not afford day care and had to babysit her kids at her job.
I didn’t have a problem with that situation since I knew tons of working mothers who could not afford day care and had to bring their kids to work.
It was during that day when I my 6-year-old daughter needed to use the bathroom that she couldn’t enter it because it was locked. I mentioned to her that somebody else could be using the bathroom.
A few moments later, noone came out of the bathroom and my daughter had to use the bathroom right away. It wasn’t very long when she had an accident in her pants thereafter.
I told Ken Ngo that the bathroom was locked and nobody was inside. He maintained that he “kept the bathroom locked because there was something wrong with the plumbing.â€
When I asked the working mother hair cutter if that was true, in her own native Spanish language, she said to me, “No. He keeps it locked so that my kids don’t use the bathroom because he doesn’t want my kids around. He treats me and my kids like crap, and I don’t like it. He doesn’t like Mexicans.†Shocked when I heard this, I went up to Ken Ngo and proceeded to question why he wouldn’t let my daughter use the bathroom since I was a paying customer.
He returned with “Your daughter needs to be accompanied by an adult,†which really didn’t make sense to me since the bathroom was only 10 feet away from me and within hearing distance. Frustrated and mad, my daughter and I stormed out of his salon without paying for services. But before I let the door hit me on the *ss, I said to Ken Ngo, "You're a racist f*cking *sshole."
I felt so sorry for my hair stylist and told her that I would fight for her on her behalf. It seems that Mr. Ken Ngo, a Vietnamese minority himself, has a problem with us Hispanics and people who are not like him.
We have never had a problem with him before when he was working at Great Clips on Denton Tap in Coppell. But this is the first and the last time I will support Ken Ngo and his business. Do not go to his beauty shop at at 600 E Sandy Lake Blvd in Coppell because he is a jerk employer and a racist person.
During all that time I went to see him, never did it once occur to me that he had a secret animosity against Hispanic people.
