Kahoots pet supply in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) is a total scam! Besides having the most inflated prices ever, Kahoots currently has fish that are diseased. The worst part is that the store knows the fish are diseased and they continue to sell them. I bought the fish 10 days ago and have had to watch them slowly die from Ich. I went in originally to look with my kid and I noticed that several of the tanks had signs indicating that the fish were not for sale at the time. I came back the next day and noticed that some of the signs had been moved around to different tanks. The first day I was lied to and told the fish were just new and that is why they were not for sale. I was told the second time I came in that some of the fish were actually sick, which made me wonder why they were selling them just a day later. I picked out a few fish and was assured that they were fine and I took them home. Almost as soon as I got home I noticed something was wrong, the fish began to show white spots and one of the fish had a anchor worm hanging out. I know that the fish did not get the disease from the tank because the tank was new and the only fish in the tank were from Kahoots. I tried to treat the fish but it was obvious that the fish were severely diseased when I got them because the sickness overtook them quickly and they deteriorated rapidly. Now the entire tank is ruined, I cannot use it for other fish because it is nearly impossible to disinfect and make suitable for new fish. This really ticks me off because when I went to Kahoots they tried to push even more expensive tanks on me and tried to get me to purchase even more stuff that what I wanted, now I need a new tank! I was pretty mad already but I decided to call Kahoots and tell them they were selling sick fish to people because I mistakenly thought they would want to know that they were spreading disease. When I got someone on the phone the person was not only uninterested in hearing about it but they were also unapologetic and treated me as if I was out of line for saying something! I told the salesperson that I was aware some fish had been sick and the person told me that no one should have warned me about the fish and I should not have known about it! I am so upset with the people at the store and will NEVER purchase even dog food again! They are so nice and pushy when you want to buy something but if there are problems they are rude and take no responsibility, they did not even apologize! I just want other people to know so that they can stay away from the this store and hopefully people will shop somewhere else. I find the staff's behavior disgusting and unprofessional, they should not be selling any fish if they know there are illnesses going around. Uaripoff
