I went on the Judge Mathis Show to end a civil suit that I had against a stylist's salon where I received
2nd-degree chemical burns. I was contacted by one of Judge Mathis's producers a week before my scheduled default hearing ,the hearing that was scheduled, after the defendant refused to respond to the
complaint I filed against him. The defendant turned out to be after investigation, an apprentice whose certification had expired
since April of 2003. He was only an apprentice and had never been an licensed cosmologist ever just a con-artist that took me for 100 dollars, hurled insults at me calling me ugly and threatened to
pistol whip my sister. The producer assured me that I had an air-tight case. The only way he could prove his case was for him to present documents proving what I was saying was untrue and since she had the proof via fax from the cosmetology board where he held his apprenticeship certification and where he was fined for these violations for this. It was impossible for him to claim anything different. To make a long story short I was set up to look like a fool. Nothing was real. The producer had lied
about everything she had told me. She told me that he could not lie about anything in court because that meant he perjured himself and would have his case dismissed and himself thrown in jail. She use
words associated with the law as if it was actually a real court system until the point I not only believed her but thought secretly she was a paralegal and not a producer. Boy was I wrong. I didn't know the show wasn't real even after the coaxing in the interview room,
the make up etc. I still believed that justice would finally be served and that this impersonating con-artist would be exposed for the lying, malicious, con-artist that he was. Well in fact that didn't happen and once the cameras started running the "supposed" court hearing immediately turned into a three-ring circus with me as a spectacle of this sick,sick,sick freak show. Words can not express the humiliation, the lying, the betrayal, and the devastation. I cried so much afterwards until I felt sick. Never in a million years would I have dreamed that I would be apart of this nightmare come true. I went for months dragged through retaliation from the defendant lying on me, spreading rumors about me, prank calling to the police on me and I had it all be spit back in my face on national TV from the people I trusted. I didn't know in any way this was not real. In the contract you have to sign a waiver not to appeal anything that happens on the show. It also reveals that the producers advice ,and it is just advice, is for entertainment purposes only. Nothing on that show is real not even the fake cop that stands inside the courtroom. We also signed an agreement that we could not misrepresent, misstate, exaggerate our occupation before,during, or after taping but even their rules in their own contract were not upheld. I provided proof before, during, and after the show that he was lying about being an licensed hair stylist. I still have all my documents to prove this. When I asked the producer about this on the show all she could do is say well it's nothing you can do you signed the waiver not to have anything appeal so this is it. Without any remorse, without any compassion just like the calculating, lying snake that she is. But I won't rest until not another person be hurt in such a way. People please believe it when I tell you that show is a complete fraud. Judge Mathis and so are his producers are sick, sick, sick uncompassionate people without a conscious and no soul. They also feel no sense of guilt or right or wrong. The supposed real litigants on that show are not cared about or even taken seriously when one of their favorite tag lines are "Real people" "Real cases". These people are made to look like deer in headlights and are completely deceived and con-ed into believing that these people are there to help them. If anyone is planning on appearing. Take heed to the advice and avoid this show at all costs.
