JTV Deceptive Business Practice Knoxville, Tennessee |
27th of Jan, 2011 by |
I won an auction on 1/5/11, item JCU091 on JTV auctions. I was so excited to be able to give this to my mother for her 90th birthday. About three days after I won, I noticed that the same ring was being auctioned for a higher price. I was so excited that I had gotten what I thought was going to be a great gift at a decent price. After a week, there was no change on the "ready to ship, sent to quality control" response that is sent on the order status.
I called and emailed, and was assured that they are "looking" for the ring. This went on for three weeks. Within this time, I stated that they had put the same ring I won, back on the auction so that they could get more money. I emailed that that was deceptive business practice and that I would find out under Tennessee law what the legal ramification are for JTV. On Friday 1/28/11, I received a phone call that my order is being canceled because they can't find the ring. If you have a similar story please respond to my story.

There have been quite a few times I ordered an item, then waited and waited while I still saw the item listed, and eventually, weeks later, and after several calls to their customer service dept., they cancelled my order. Recently I received a package that was supposed to have 3 items in it, and there was only one. It took 2 months and several calls to correct the problem. I've received several diamond rings with cracked and chipped up stones, but I usually kept them just because you get what you pay for. Needless to say, they've screwed up so many orders I cannot count. I have received an empty package, one where someone actually cut it open, took out my ring, and taped it back up. I've received cheap items instead of the diamond rings I ordered. The last straw, was a couple of months ago I order a preowned yellow diamond ring with princess cuts. I ordered online, and my order was approved. I waited and waited and finally called, and the doofus in customer service told me the ring was cancelled because my credit didn't go through. A total lie. I've spent several thousands with them, they won't get another cent. They've fallen into the gutter, they're worse than ever. In fact, I order via mail all the time, and they were the WORST company for either not sending the item, saying they did, or sending something cheap instead of the item that I paid for. |
