JTE Systems SalonEquipment.net Lies...Lies...Lies! Had Equipment - Didn't Have Equipment. No Follow-up When Promised. Terrible Company To Do Business |
31st of May, 2011 by User111790 |
Originally started dealing with this business in late April 2011. Had picked out a set of 5 salon stlyling chairs, 3 backwash units and 3 dryer chairs w/ionic dryers. I was told by Juan Mediina (sales rep) everything was in stock. I ordered equipment and was told it could be in around mid May at the latest. May 2nd, 2011 I was told they could not complete my order and could only send 5 pieces of my 11 piece order. I asked how long would it take to complete order. I was told no later than the 15th or 16th of May. I told them to hold the equipment there and if it would be only another 2 weeks I could wait. I was told they would hold the 5 pieces and call me mid May on the others. May 18th and no contact from these people. I called them to find out that they had no idea of what they had in stock nor when my order would be completed! I asked for the manager. The manager "Bobby" told me...PROMISED ME...he would check and get back with me the next day. He said he could not tell me what they had without actually going to their warehouse and seeing himself what was there. Next day...NO CONTACT from Bobby. I called him only to get more excuses and he kept saying "I understand". All he could say is that he "WOULD" call me the next day. Promises to call me back the next day also did not get fullfilled! I checked my credit card to find that they had already charged my account on May 2nd for the entire order and still I have no equipment with no real determination of "WHEN" I'll see my complete order. When I first ordered these items, I was told that my card would not get charged until the order was sent!!! I called "Bobby" again and told him this was NO WAY to do business and he promised me I'd soon have my order...they could ship some of it now and finish later. He promised again to call me the very next day...but, of course, did not! I had to call him! Again, more excuses and more "I understands!" I asked him where the owner is? He told me in Eastern Europe...but would not elaborate much further. These guys are a "Slip-Shod" operation and take your money telling you they have the merchandise but don't! From what I've been able to find out...they place your order with a company in China to build your items AFTER they've charged your account. Their site says something about being a manufacturer/distributor and sort of sounds like they actually manke their own brands...but, in reality they just buy from a manufacturer. I since have put my payment in dispute with Visa and still wanted to complete the order "if" I could get the equipment. They initially shipped some of it to a holding warehouse but now will not ship nor will they complete my order as the charges have been put in dispute. I spoke today (6-1-11)with "Bobby" and he still has no idea of when the dryer chairs will be in. I agreed to release the dispute on my card (now remember...they already have my money) but he says he will not complete the initial shipment (which was scheduled to be dropped @ 10am today) unless I send a "wire transfer" of the $4,900. I said "NO". I would only release the dispute order. He said he did not want to deal with the credit card. This company is BAD from any angle you lokk at them from. I will be contacting my lawyer as they have now held up my plans of opening by early June. When I first ordered these items...my plans were to have opened sometime mid to late May. Too many lies and stalling tactics by this company have ruined this. My advice is to steer clear of any dealings with this outfit! They go by 2 names...one is JTE (JTE Systems???) and the other is SalonEquipment.net (not to be confused with salonequipment.com). I rest my case. |

Same exact thing happened to us. Credit card was charged and they said they would hold our equipments until we are close to opening. 2 weeks before opening, we called them to let them know we are ready for the shipment. I asked whether they had my stuffs in stock. All we got was a very nervous Juan (sale rep) saying he'll call us back the next day to let us know. And now I'm thinking to myself, why does he need a full day to answer my questions? Do you have it or not? He said because he would need to go to the warehouse to check on the stuffs. I have a gut feeling he was somewhat misleading. So the funny thing is, we happened to live in chicago too. My husband and i decided to drive to their warehouse. Knocked on the door, someone answered and lead us to find Juan, Bobby sitting at an office in THE freaking warehouse. Came to find out, they had NOTHING of what we ordered!
These people are liars! Please do not buy anything from them! I'm still very upset from this whole ordeal. |
