Joseph A. Guardi Auto Sales Guy sells me a car that he illegally inspected and never should have been able to be sold Binghamton , New York
14th of Dec, 2011 by User905422
I buy a car from this guy, he says no problem fill out paperwork most likely be ready tomorrow. Show up next day and he says had to replace battery and that the engine light was on because of it so he will inspect it the next day. The next day i pick it up and he says had to drive it like 300 miles to get it inspected. 2 days later the service engine light comes on due to a coolant temp range, he says bring it up since i have a 30 day 1000 mile warranty. Take it up there the mechanic says its the same thing i just fixed again the temp sensor. I was like wait he told me it was the battery nothing to do with a sensor. While i have it up there i tell him there is also a bad noise. They put it up on the lift and my spring is completely busted. Right there should have never passed inspection but somehow he inspected it before i bought it. Well anyways the light is off so i take it back home. Not even 2 days later the light is on again same exact problem. I call the mechanic he says well i don't know why its doing it, must be the panel with all the gages needs to be replaced ill order it and get it fixed. Well week went by no call yet, I call him back and he says i forgot to order it. Another week later i call again after i have to fill the antifreeze up again for the 3rd time in about 3 weeks and i haven't even really been driving it since the light came on again. He says drive it up here (which is about an hour away) i say well if there is a chance there is a problem witih coolant shouldn't you come get it and tow it so doesn't ruin the engine. He pretty much says no and hangs up on me. A day later he calls back and says i found a garage for you to take it too. So i do that and the garage says the car is junk, the computer and wiring is causing it and it would cost them more to fix it then the car is worth. Says they would have to lift the engine up to check all the wiring and computer would be at least a couple of days job. I call them back and tell them that and he says its ok to drive up here then. So anyways we get it up there and the mechanic says all i can do is fix the sensor again and will fix the plug too. It would be at least a 1 day job and i don't have time to be doing that. Which is pretty much what the other garage said that it would be a huge job. So he fixes the sensor again and manually resets the light and says its fixed and that he won't fix it again since its passed warranty even though its the same problem i had since day 1. I call the owner of the car place when my brother got home with the vehicle and said didn't fix the problem and he says do you own a crystal ball the light isn't on is it. I said no but it will be again in a hundred miles or so since you didn't fix it. He goes i called the garage you took it to and told them it was fixed so i drove it up there and he looks at it and says nothing is fixed and they even put the old sensor back in. I don't pay for a few weeks while the car sits idle in my driveway i tell him im not paying for it until he fixes it right. Few days later he calls and tells me to take it to another garage. He has had numerous opprotunitys to fix this car and lied to me about what other garages said about the car already so i say if he wants to get it and take it there go ahead. They come get it and tow it to the other garage. I call the garage and he says pretty much the same thing the car is junk. Try calling the guy again, he won't call back of course, so i have no car and no money back. The guy is a joke. They illegally inspected the car so it would originally pass inspection, the mechanic even admitted that by telling me he fixed the sensor manually reset the service engine light and then drove it so many miles so he could hook it up to the computer to inspect it. The spring shouldn't have allowed it to pass. Pretty much lied about everything and kept telling me there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. So i paid a down payment of 1600 and drove the car pretty much just to his garage and back trying to get fixed.

I believe you i had the same problem with my vehicle and the dmv fined him and they let him get away with somethings also, He has become a dishonest business. He owns the repair shop across the street and those guy inspect the vehicles he sell and it mostly lemons. There should be a law against inspecting cars you sell.My radiator and several other things were bad and i keep bringing it back and those guys have no true training or certification.
