John Penn Fraudulent Cat Breeder Rockledge, Florida

I would like to alert you about "John Penn," who claims to be of Rockledge Florida. He represents himself as an exotic cat breeder. I was researching Abyssinian kittens on the internet and sent a few inquiries to sites. "John" sent me a long and detailed email reply with photos about the kittens he has available. He was very thoughtful, personable, provided references who wrote detailed (with photos) accounts of their positive experiences with John. He builds trust this way. When we were ready to proceed with the transaction, he insisted on using Moneygram to transfer the funds--I have since learned this is your first sign of a scam. When I balked at the fees involved ($62), he said we could deduct them--then we became very suspicious and did more research. Other clues: searches of his name and email and that of his references did not turn up on internet searches. A search on his address turned up a real estate listing of a vacant property for sale. And finally, we did an image search for "blue abyssinian kittens" on Google and turned up pictures he sent as "Alisha"--the photos are from two years ago. Beware of any animal scam or others with someone using this name, phone number, or email address.
