John casablancas Complete ripoff Langhorne, Pennsylvania
11th of Dec, 2011 by User375317
So.... Months ago I was at a local art show with my 11 year old daughter. There was a booth set up for John casablancas modeling school. We filled out a paper giving them my contact info. Weeks go by and I get a phone call from them asking if I could bring my daughter in the next day for a " new talent scouting day" . I had work that day but my husband agreed to take her. She comes home the next day super excited about how they said she has so much potential and if they had met her a year ago she would be booked up for months. It seems a little pricey at $1000 but they make the classes seem very instructional and informational. They say we can give them a down payment of $400 and finance the rest, which we do. First class: complete waste of time. Waited in line for ever to sign in, watched this guys reel of his past work. They recorded a short video of the kids saying stuff like " hi, I'm Jen , and I like to play soccer." end of class. Second class: another waste of time. Long line to check in. Complete disorganization. They had a " photo shoot" for the kids which we didn't even know about. Basically spent a bunch of time waiting for other kids to get their picture taken until it was your turn. Third class : biggest waste of time of all. Again, long lines to sign in and complete disorganization. We get into the classroom and, literally the first forty five minutes waiting for people to come into the classroom and sign up because the reception area in the front of the offices is so backed up people keep filing in late and the instructor has to keep repeating everything she has already told the people who were there on time. Which by the way was useless drivel about why you should or should not have a boarder on your headshots. Finally when it seems like everybody is there, she realizes there is not enough room or chairs in the present classroom, wasting another fifteen minutes of the class shuffling everyone to a different room. I am quickly realizing this place is a complete scam. Now for the fun stuff. We withdraw form the class, which we were told we could do if we weren't satisfied. I send a certified letter to the company and I get a letter from the company that financed our tuition saying we owe them more than the original amount of the tuition. I have called this company( national educational acceptance) and they will not respond. Have filed complaints with the better business bureau as well. Still waiting for a response. Do yourself a favor and open your window, throw $1000 dollars out of it and you'll save yourself the headache of driving to Langhorne.
