We found this lady on Hoobly.com advertising savannah kittens, my son then met her at walmart in Wharton County to purchase a kitten from her that she told us was a female. When we took the kitten to the vet she then became a he accourding to the vet. This kitten when we purchased him was a little skinny with fleas but immediately fattened up once we put food at his disposal. We then contacted her to get a second kitten as we had lost our bengal in surgery the day before and the male was moping around looking for her. We asked her for a female once again and she told us she had two from the same litter left and would meet us at the same walmart once again but couldn't meet us until later that evening after 5pm. We made the 2 hour drive to find out that she had two kittens and the one was not of the same litter and much older. She was a bit skiddish but we liked her and decided to purchase her anyhow. It was dark and the other kitten appeared skinny and a bit skiddish as well but she insured us that he had been going through a phase where he was terrified and was hiding. When we got both of them home we went to bath them and the smallest one was so infested in fleas it took an hour and fifteen minutes to pick off what fleas we had killed in the bath. We also discovered in shaving him she nicked him really bad. We then tried to feed him and he immediately turned his nose up and wouldn't eat or drink anything. We then took him to the emergency vet where they checked him out and told us he was severely emaciated and anemic and had feline herpes, and was also a male. He also had to get 3 stitches to close up the gash in his elbow. We now have to syringe feed him baby food and kitten formula until we can get the sores in his throat to go away to eat on his own. The blatant neglet of this kitten concerned the vet and we will be turning this over as well to the SPCA. We tried to contact her and she ignored 3 calls from us and numerous emails to ask her what food she was feeding him and if there was a reason to why he was infested in fleas as bad as he was. She finally responded to an email asking me what I was talking about the kittens were in perfectly good health. Seriously!!! This kitten would have died if she kept it for 2-3 days longer according to our vet. Please DO NOT do business with this lady as she will sell you animals that are really sick and need immediate veterinarian attention. We hope now that all the tlc and effort we are putting in to this kitten will save his life because we have become really attached to him already. I have researched this lady now and have found numerous fraud reports and several different names she goes by as well. I hope this helps stop someone else from being ripped off!! |
