and is a complete scam artist. He claims that he can host your websites or
websites that spamhaus (an Anti-Spam Organization Firm) would normally shut
down. So, basically he promised that he would be able to host a
website that I owned that sold email lists to business owners. He made a plan
for me and another list broker to equally pay for the IP range from ARIN.net so
that when our server came online, that, if spamhaus ever blacklisted our IP
range, that it would never affect the upstream providers IP addresses and only
the IP addresses that we purchased through Arin.net. The Upstream provider in
this case was called Internap.com. First, he said that our circuit would be ready on February
18, 2011. Well, that never happened and in fact it actually took nearly 4 weeks
after that date to finally get the server online and ready to use. Our website was up for grand total of nine days before being shut down once again. I got a call on
a Friday afternoon from Jeff stating that Internap had shut us off because
spamhaus was claiming that I was taunting them in forums stating that I had
some sort of Pink Contract and that that would allow me to be hosted without
any repercussions from spamhaus whatsoever. He then proceeds to tell me that he
is received a court-ordered injunction signed by a judge to cease all business
activity with his business advanced network solutions.com because he was
hosting a known spam website. He claimed that this lawsuit was brought forth by
an attorney hired by spamhaus by the name of Richard Colbert. He said it would
have to be until Monday that he would have an emergency court hearing to
determine the validity of this court-ordered injunction. So, on Saturday morning
I wrote a letter to 13 of my closest friends on Facebook asking them to left
Jeff Backes up in prayer so that on Monday he could be successful in his court
hearing. (now understand that my Facebook account has the highest security
settings that are allowed by that website. So no one outside of the 13 people
that I wrote this letter to couldve seen or read this letter that I wrote not
even their friends could see it. Only the 13 people who were my closest friends
could see this letter). Here was his response
on Sunday Afternoon: XXXX, I got a voice mail from Internap that you posted something
on Facebook bashing on Spamhaus again. The message says because of
continued taunting of Spamhaus, they are not going to turn us up. I have
left a message with the VP there to please call, but I would believe it will
not be till Monday. XXXX, frankly, I am not sure what is going on, but I had a
system in place that would put us under the radar of a lot of this.
Really my friend, I cannot have you doing this. This is a direct impact
of my clients and business. The only way that I can possibly continue to host your sites is
if you change your business model (which I believe you have started), you
change your company name and have NO LINK back to XXX,XXXXX or anything of
such. Spamhaus CAN NOT link the two companies together. I know Spamhaus is a pain in the rears. But we cannot keep
poking a mad dog. I do not have the financial backing, and my attorney
does not have the experience to go after this as a class action lawsuit.
Those kind of attorneys are 250.00 -500.00 per hour. I can talk a little later this afternoon, but my friend, as it
sits right now, I am not sure I can do anything that will get us turned back on
on Monday. I am going to have to block your IPs. I will continue to
work with Internap, but please do not write or post anything yet out on any
forums, twitter, facebook or anywhere on the internet. These guys
(Spamhaus) have infiltrated all the groups that you are part of. Jeff ----END of MESSAGE--- Now, understand folks that there is absolutely no possible way that Internap could have seen the letter that I wrote on Facebook. Because, that letter was addressed to 13 of my closest friends which included
Jeff and his wife Donna. The friends that I wrote it to have absolutely no idea
who Internap is. All they understood was that they needed to lift Jeff up in
prayer so that he would be successful in his court hearing on Monday morning. I
should also mention that I e-mailed Jeff five times asking him to speak with
his attorney regarding this injunction and for him to send me the paperwork
regarding the injunction. He never once gave me any paperwork nor the name or
telephone number of his attorney for this supposed to injunction. So, Monday morning comes rolling around and I get an
e-mail from Jeff stating that his court hearing was a complete success and that
the judge threw the case out and that the case had absolutely no validity
whatsoever. Just however, continued to maintain that Internap was blocking my IP addresses because of my taunting letter I posted on Facebook (you know, he one that no one on the planet could
view EXCEPT the 13 of my friends that it was given too?) I confronted Jeff about this fact and he
immediately became defensive and said that he would no longer handle my hosting
and that I would have to speak to Internap directly from now on. He said he
would speak to Scott who is in charge of internaps NOC department and that he
would grant me authorization to speak with this person named Scott. What Jeff
didnt know was that on Sunday evening I called Internap directly and asked
them if they ever received any Facebook posting like Jeff was claiming.
Internap flatly denied that they ever received any type of posting regarding
Facebook in regards to my account. It should be noted that prior to us going
into this deal, that for about 5 months, I had nearly 50 conversations with
Jeff where I kept asking him, does Internap understand the level of harassment
they will be getting from spamhaus? Do they understand that we will be on a server that has NO OUTGOING EMAIL FUNCTIONS WHATSOEVER (so no one could claim we were spamming) and that they
clearly looked at our website and approved it. So that when we got everything
up and running that there would be no problems whatsoever. Jeffs answer was
always YES, YES, YES and YES. He assured me with 100% confidence that our
website would be hosted without any issues whatsoever with Internap. Now, out
of the blue Internap is blocking me because spamhaus claims that I went on
twitter and said I had a Pink Contract (which I never said) and that they
read my facebook posting and because of this, they would now block my website. So after that weekend, I finally had it. I emailed
spamhaus and Jeff to tell them both that I am completely and totally getting
out of the list brokering business for good. Jeffs first response after hearing this was to ask me to
direct and forward all of my incoming traffic from my websites he blocked to
his website called http://www.rockymtnwebdevelopment.com.
Needless to say, This threw up some red flags with me. So, on Monday morning
(today on 03-28-2011) I had a conversation with my wife about everything that
was going on with Jeff and how I was surprised that Keith Taubs website http://www.americaint.com/ was still up even though he had a ROKSO
listing on spamhaus. As I was looking up his ROKSO listing, I came across one
of his many aliases, which just so happened to be (take a wild guess: Robert
Colbert! Which you can read right here: http://www.spamhaus.org/rokso/evidence.lasso?rokso_id=ROK5117
) Which is the same Attorney name that Jeff said Spamhaus had hired to file
the court order injunction against us. Robert Colbert was not only NOT an
attorney for Spamhaus, he was in Fact Keith Taub the owner of http://www.americaint.com/ who even
though went in half with me on the costs of this circuit he was still one of my
main competitors online. So, I come to find out that he and Jeff have made some
backdoor deal together, used my money to buy install the circuit and IP
Addresses from Internap and now that he is totally up and running, he now
completely lies to me and kicks me off their network so Jeff can now put more
porno companies on his network. Flat out Jeff Backes Lied to Me. He never said what he
would do, he never performed what he said he would perform, he lied about
Internap, he lied about this non-existent and fictitious court ordered
injunction and I have been scammed. Therefor, I HIGHLY recommend that NO ONE does business
and completely steer clear of Jeff Backes, Donna Backes, Advance Network
Solutions, Rocky Mountain Web Development, http://www.advancenetworksolutions.com,

doing business with these folks. Jeffs ideas usually lead to nothing but empty
promises. Now, I am completely and totally out of the list brokering business. All because of Jeff Backes and Keith Taub and their crafty lies, scams and deceit. |
