On Dec 15, 2010 I purchased a 01 pontiac sunfire due to my old car breaking down and me starting a new job so i wasnt able to get finaced through a new car dealership. I went to there company because unfortunately where I work there is no form of public transportation and I would have to walk 4 miles to get to work after taking a 2 hr train ride, which mean i would have to leave my house by 6:30 am just to get to work by 10:45 am andno way home at 8pm. So i took a chance on this company one because a sales rep at another car dealership told me about this company and told me to get a car from there until i have been at my new job for 6 months. Well here it is 8 months later and i went into another car dealership to "trade in" the car i purchased through JD Byrider, and now they are telling me that bc i am still in contract with JD Byrider they would have to add on the 9523 i still owe on the car to a new loan. Which mean I'll be paying back nearly 20000 for the car and with my income that mean i will be payimg nearly my entire check for the car which im praticly doing now! My only other option i was told was to file bankruptcy or a judgement on my credit and then put down at least 3000 to get into a new car. I have a few things listed on my credit that are in a deliquent status but not enough to file bankruptcy for and majority of those will start to be removed in 2 years. I'm not sure what to do in this situation I was told to sell the car to carmax and give the money to JD Byrider and then try to get a new car and have the remaining balance tacked on to my new loan but I'm unable to purchase a new car due to the bi-weekly payments of 167, the only way I can save for a new car is if I dont pay the car note and I dont want to that because I dont want them to reposses the car and I have to take that REALLLLY LONG and DANGEROUS trip back home on semi-public transportation. I would really appreciate some HELPFUL suggestions thanks so much! Confused |
