iskinmedix iskinmedix.com Severe shipping delays, logistics issues, postage due despite prepaid customs London, Untied Kingdom Internet |

4 months ago I ordered a deal on Teambuy.ca (September 10th). When I tried to use the deal code for the memory foam pillows from iskinmedix.com, the web site crashed. This took them a while to fix. Despite emailing the company about the crash, there was no contact from the company to let me know if my order had been placed successfully (I did receive automated emails about order submission but no answer to my report of the web site crashing on submission). So I had no idea if the order actually went through or not. When I later returned to the web site again, there was a note on the ordering page asking customers not to submit orders again if the web site had crashed because the orders had gone through. The only way to get to this page was to actually go to the ordering page again. They did as much as they could to hide the issue and be non-communicative about it. The shipping got delayed due to some logistics problems (there was an email from Teambuy.ca, still nothing from iSkinMedix) and the pillows weren't shipped until Dec. 30th despite the fact that the original order was placed in September, 3.5 months prior. I got an automated email generated by the UPS shipping process that informed me of the shipment and tracking number. They were supposed to be customs prepaid (there were multiple question/answer and vendor statements that said that there would be NO charges upon receipt for any kind of shipping or brokerage on the Teambuy.ca deal page. However, I got an email (again from Teambuy.ca, not iSkinMedix) a few days ago stating that some were showing up with amounts due. Sure enough when mine came last night approximately $25 was due on the package. As per the email's instructions, I rejected it and apparently they're going to fix that and resend them. But WHEN?! I don't have an answer to that yet. I just want to warn everyone to stay away from Teambuy.ca and iskinmedix.com. It's mostly the fault of the latter, but imho this deal should've been abandoned and refunded weeks ago and the supplying company should just eat their losses and learn from it or go bankrupt due to extremely poor customer service. iSkinMedix.com has still not communicated anything to myself as a customer, so they are apparently just trying to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that this didn't happen. Buyers beware. |
