I (Bill Swech) bought iolo System Mechanic from Staples, when I went and installed it ALL worked out OKAY until I went in and tried to REGISTER it and ran into problems. By the way this IS NOT the first time I used this software, I have used it a few times before, it works GREAT with Norton Products and that is why I liked it, anyway I emailed them that I was having a problem to REGISTER the software and I DID get an email from iolo and then a few days later I went to register it again and again it DIDN'T work. I think it was that night or a few days later after I was so upset with iolo that I UNINSTALLED it and I got a PHONE CALL from what or whom I thought was iolo. They were and sounded VERY PROFESSIONAL so I ended up making a DEAL for LIFETIME software from iolo for $300.00 and this would cover six (6) computers. I figured out the PRICE for ALL they OFFERED us and it came out to be a GOOD DEAL. They even LOADED IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC 12.7 and also CCLEANER and they also ; and I gave the PERMISSION to go on our THREE (3) computers and fixed them up. I KNOW a little about COMPUTERS ,just to let you know we are in our 60's and since MONEY is ALWAYS TIGHT that is also why we went with this deal. As MOST people SHOULD KNOW you have to pay them before they do ANY WORK and since I had PayPal I used it in case something went wrong but as far as I FIRST noticed it seemed that ALL was okay; then I tried different programs and games; as I find games help to keep your mind active. This time I REALLY watched the way MY COMPUTER worked and I NOTICED it DIDN'T seem to work much different so I went in and emailed iolo and they answered me back that they needed more info on the PROBLEM and some of the things they asked for I wasn't sure on how to do it so I just got FED up and asked for a REFUND; that is when I found out that this COMPANY that was NOT the SAME IOLO as the one INSTALLED on our computers. IOLO called me and told me that they had NO file on US and that there was a COMPANY USING THEIR I.D. and were trying to CATCH them and if I could HELP with this FRAUD case. Just to let EVERYONE know we were on the phone for about an HOUR before she CONVINCED me that I was REALLY talking to the IOLO SYSTEM MECHANIC that OWNS the SOFTWARE that I purchased from Staples. I got in touch with PayPal to tell them about WHAT was going on and that I was WHY I was asking for a REFUND. They made up a case NUMBER and also I got a name of a person with a email address of [email protected] and emailed him about what was going on, also there was another person that did the work on OUR COMPUTER called Kuldeep Singh Sanger that lives; I found out India. I KNOW that this SEEMS to be a LONG article but now I have to REMOVE ALL our PROGRAMS and START right from just like a NEW COMPUTER. If you PEOPLE are like us YOU KNOW how much WORK there is to do to fix EVERYTHING. We hope that with the HELP of IOLO and PAYPAL that we can get this PROBLEM to STOP. I will also be reporting them to the RCMP and the BBB of Canada, I will also try and report it for the USA also so that EVERONE will NOT get CAUGHT. It is less than 30 days so I hope PayPal will get OUR MONEY BACK and that this will HELP IOLO, also.If we the PEOPLE don't STOP this from happening then these FRAUDULENT type COMPANIES will keep MESSING up OUR LIVES. So be CAREFUL and you can HELP to STOP this from HAPPENING. Thank You Bill Swech 705-693-5872
