Invicta
Invicta Empty Box Scam Hollywood, Florida
7th of Dec, 2010 by User395153
I bought a watch form Invicta on a "Sunday Run" for $130.00, the box arrived, I signed for it... Went to open the box and noticed the tape was broken, opening the box revealed that the watch was gone and all that was left was the empty jewel case and the pillow the watch would set on.
I contacted FedEx and told them, they were very concerned, sent a person within 3hrs to collect the box. I was told they were aware of a problem with watches stolen in this manner and that I should contact the Invicta to request a replacement, the supervisor also said she would call them to make sure they knew about the theft.
I then contacted Invicta, was told they had no information regarding the stolen watch and that a supervisor would call me... I never got the call; next day I was called a 9am by FedEx to check if I had contacted Invicta since they had taken care of the problem, I then called Invicta and again they denied any contact or any information received.
I waited for the weekend to end and contacted them again, this time they had no record of me calling, no record of my report, no record of FedEx contact.
I was advised that I'd have to wait for 10 days for any claim... I told them this was a Christmas gift, they didn't care, told them I'd stop payment... they didn't care.
I was told they would not sent me a "free" watch! I told them I paid $130.00 and got an empty box, so a free watch was not possible, they didn't care. The people I spoke with at Invicta were rude, uncaring, accusatory and hostile to me, all because I got ripped off. They were happy to see me call everyday only to be told they never heard of me or the problem each time I called... some of my friends have suggested there is scam here and they are covering for it, I can't say, but what I can say is that in 20 years of getting parcels (and I get a lot since I'm handicapped and buy all my goods over the net or mail order) I've never had a box fleeced in this manner. Combine that with FedEx not surprised at the theft regarding Invicta and the indifference to my claim/complaint, I'd have to assume something here smells bad.

Once a theft like this happens, it is no longer an issue for the seller, it is up to the shipper (FedEx) to pay you for their problem. This is an inside job, someone at FedEx stole your watch and FedEx needs to take care of you. Period!
