just walked in the door today from work and my home phone was ringing, it said private name and number but i still answered. the guy who answered the phone had a very strong accent maybe Indian or Asian, I'm not sure. he started telling me that i am being sued for a cash advance that had been taken out online, and that the company was suing me on three charges which i don't understand. i then asked him to explain this to me and i was supposedly transferred to the attorney named Brad King, who read an affidavit to me and was asking me to either dispute the case or pay which is $1,1oo and some change. When i asked how was i supposed to pay for something that never was transferred into my account he continued to ignore me and ask if i wanted to dispute the case or pay, somewhat of an attitude also. I had applied for a loan but didn't need it as I thought I would, so I never agreed or confirmed anything. The e-mails that i get on regular basis i delete. This man continued to ask his questions, and overheard my kids in the background and was asking for their names also, i didn't deliver. He never answered my question, and continuously asked me for a response, he had all my info such as my entire social security number, and email address. I asked him for a phone number and he gave me (352) 360-7294. He then asked me for a response to dispute or pay, and I once again asked my questions because i didn't understand. He said ok "get ready to go to court get ready", and hung the phone. I called back and someone else answered the phone strong accent, explained to me the case and my options which are that either i dispute which means get a lawyer or i pay. I asked for a physical address he said he couldn't give that because of security reasons. I kept explaining to him that i never received a transfer of money to my account and that why should i pay for something i didn't receive. He told me that i will hear about it in written form, and that i would have to appear before the courts and a judge, I dont have a lawyer never had to have one, and he evens knows my record is clean. How is this possible I am so confused, who are these people? I looked up the phone number and tried to see a connection with the Investigation Bureau but had no luck. I just don't know what to do, I know that I don't owe anything so they wont be getting anything from me. Im glad i found this site because I see that I am not the only one who had an issue, and even in the same day and same situation, what a coincidence. Help me please. |
