Intuit Websites/Homestead I was charged for services not rendered for 4 months Menlo Park, California |

I used Intuit Website Service to purchase my domain name and took advantage of their 30 day free trial offer to try out their website service. After about 2 weeks I decided that it did not meet my needs and I called to cancel my service, and transfer my domain name to another web hosting site. I was told that the account would be closedand my domain name transfer would take effect in 30 days. The domain name was transfered after much trouble and withno help from them at all.
Today I recieved a call fromIntuit asking how I liked their service. I informed them the account was closed 4 months ago. They informed me that the account was never closed and I had been charged for the last 4 months @$19.99 per month by automatic bank draft. When I finally got hold of a service rep. she told me I had not closed the account and to do so I would have to have a pin # which I did not have since I closed my account with them 4 months ago! She said she could send it tome via e-mail and did so. When I asked for my refund (since I had never used their services) for my website past the 30 day free offer she said, "They could not give me a refund except for the last 30 day period."Intuit ripped me off for$60.00. Their service and support sucks.
I would suggest to any one considering using Homestead/Intuit Website Hosting reconsider and go with a reputable company like Go Daddy .com, you will be much happier.

I was tricked into signing up in order to get a free iphone4s if I signed up. And if and when I receive my phone should start billing me after a trial of 2 free months. THEY STARTED BILLING ME IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ANY iphone4s received!
I NEVER USED their services never setup a website AND THEY BILLED FOR OVER A YEAR even A GREATER AMOUNT than offered in their advertisement!! I did not know they were billing me til recently! Never received any billing info never a receipt. There was no cancelling ability, they never answered when phoned, when I asked for a refund by email they didnt even care to answer !! |
