Oct 28,2011 please beware of this company INFINITY van lines . After reading some other reports I can tell you this company is not out of business and has moved their scam from Florida to the East being bases in the Bronx NY, they also have some association to RELO van lines their address is in Newark NJ. I hired Patriot van lines ( their located in East Brunswick NJ)who in turn subcontracted INFINITY. I will give brief bullet point to my experience there is just to much to put in this text it is still an ongoing might mare. No one could give exact days of arrival for the move even at less then 24 hrs out they still couldn't give me a time or date they where made aware on several occasions that I would be flying to the house for the move last min tickets are not cheep! upon arrival I was told another deposit was due. That was never mention in the original contact then I was made to sign another contact w/ Infinity and that this contact was for square footage what?????I was quoted on weight. After much discussion or should I say lake of NO ONE speaks fluent English. My hands are tied I flew from Pittsburgh to Connecticut to move that day and I had a flight to catch that night start packing.I was totally being bullied with no other options at this point and they knew it. 7 days later my belongings arrived or what was left of them. Of course I was over weight and they wanted cash before delivery. which makes no sense because all the big items that where on my quote from Patriot did not even make it on the truck because I was now on the square footage program from Infinity when I ask for proof of weight they had no weight slip from the weight station...hummm so it goes from weight, to square footage, to weight.. What ???? The amount of damage to my furniture is unbelievable, rocking chairs broken in half, microwave looks like a hammer was taken to it,antique trunks cracked, saddles cut and deep scratched, Another chair leg is broken off and the arm is missing and a laundry list of missing items from jewelry, winter coats, pictures, ect. Not to mention that they have called a least 5 times to tell me they found my ladder and there in the area to deliver it ... Funny I have yet to get my ladder oh, that right your GPS in broken. REALLY your a moving company. To date they have not recovered any of my missing items nor are they offering to move the remaining furniture I had to leave which is roughly about $20,000 worth of furniture. I plan to contact the Virginia and New Jersey state attorney office of consumer affairs I encourage you to do the same! |
