Moving in February from New England to a southeastern state for a job relocation, I was told the movers would be there at 9AM to pack and have it all done by the afternoon. By noon when they had not arrived, I called and was told they "unexpectedly" had to make another pickup but would be there soon. They arrived at 3PM!! NO apologies. By 7PM, they had not finished so this dragged into the next day when they also discovered they could not fit everything on the truck because of the 1st pick up!! They left mutiple boxes and an expensive lawn chair, not to mention a dresser that I "agreed" to leave behind due to space restrictions. It cost me nearly $300 to have the boxes shipped by another carrier, as Infinity Moving would not arrange for an additional truck. Had to leave the lawn chair as it would be too expensive to ship separately. (My neighbor got it for free since she didn't really need it or wanted to pay for it.) The movers tracked in snow, dirt, salt and ice (remember this is February in New England) on their boots and on the dollies used for moving big items. I asked them to put down protective coverings on the floor, carpet and stairs but they said it was not their "policy" to have to do that! Totally uncaring about the homeowner's property. Walls & floors were COVERED in mud and slush by the time they were done and because I was leaving immediately, I could not clean it up. Paid $160 for cleaning services to clean their mess! The main office told me it would be 3 days to the destination, which was perfect since I was driving down to my new job that started in 2 weeks. Then the phone calls..."they couldn't fit my load on the truck to that state"..."next truck".."should be there day after tomorrow"..."truck going there was delayed"...for 12 days I got these excuses!!!! Finally arrived, leaving me 2 days to unpack and organize before my new job started!! Totally stressed out! And of course, the final bill was significantly higher than originally quoted. I was NEVER informed that my belongings would be going to NYC, be unloaded and reloaded onto another truck for delivery. That meant handling my things 4 times, thus increasing the potential for damage and/or loss. They LOST my queen size box spring(!) but were "looking for it" in their NY warehouse. Surprisingly, they never found it or returned my daily phone calls. Many damaged/broken items, did not finish putting together the bed frames. Total disaster. I am extremely upset & angry with Infinity Movers and will NEVER recommend them to anyone. DO NOT USE THEM!
