I have read most of the complaints and horror stories that fellow home owners have written. And I have to said that I am facing the same things! How can this continue without something being done. I had a loan modification that took over 6 months and was told not to make any payments because it will affect the modification, next thing I know my home is up for foreclosure because I hadnt made any of those payments. I finally got my modification and now my payment is more than it was before I started and still continue to receive fraudulent charges just about every month. I have tried to contact them, tried to get a break down of my modification to see where the charges are coming from with no sucess. They state the breakdown is unavailable. My payment was due on the 1st and two months ago I made my payment on the 22nd, next thing I know I am getting a foreclosure notice from their lawyers. This notice advised me what was needed to reinstate my loan, now this came from their lawyers, in the meantime they had a check that I sent into the insurance loss department in the amount of $9,258.87 which we received from our insurance company. These funds were the hold back on a fire we had. I advise them that I wanted to apply some of the funds to bring my account current and reqested a reinstatement amount to just get the other fraudulent fees and charges taken care of so I would not owe any outstanding amount. Received a letter from their lawyer with one figure and then another letter from Ocwen with another figure, there was a big difference in the two amounts. I let Ocwen take the amount that they stated out of the holdback money. I wanted no more problems with them. They took all but $1,758.33 out of the $9,258.87 WOW! I let this go and expected my monthly statement to be the regular outraous payment due. NO not that lucky they state I owe additional $826 dollars of foreclosure fees. I have to this day refused to pay this amount. Please someone let me know what to do and what worked for them it anything. If there is a class action suit I diffidently want to be involved. Someone in the government has to do something to help all of us! I can't even refinance with another mortgage company because of them. HELP ME! in New Hampshire |
