I had 3 shirts clean with Key Cleaners branch store on 02-01-11 for pick up at 5pm on 02-02-11. When I went in to pick them up, I found that one was missing and they had no details. They said they would search for it and call me. 2 days later they called and told me it was destroyed. The branch manger told me to come in on Monday to fill a claim form but my schedule does not allow me to do that. The manger is off all weekend so I could not call and to change the date. I called the main location and was lucky to have the company owner pick up. I informed the owner of the issue. She said she had the shirt and she needed details on the price I paid. I was only able to estimate around $25 that she agreed to pay as a fair price. I mentioned the branch manager promised to get me a gift certificate for $10 to refund the service of the shirts being cleaned due to my inconvenience. I visit the store 1-3 times a year so I asked the owner if she could do cash on the $10. I was able to pick up the $25 for the destroyed shirt at the branch store that the owner arranged for to get there with out a claim form. The OWNER said I had to talk to the branch MANAGER about getting the $10 gift certificate saying she had no control over that. I asked if that would be done as cash due to my limited visits with no answer. The entire time we were both rational and calm so I am shocked she would treat a customer like this. The manager started to get upset the said that "I was unable to be pleased" and she wanted me to leave. I then asked for the $10 I was promised for the cleaning services refund that I never got. She said that she withdraws that offer and told me to leave, never to come back. I told her I payed for a shirt to be cleaned and it was destroyed but only got paid for the cost of the shirt not the service. She refused to refund me the money I paid for a service that was never completed. She then ran out the door for a delivery saying that the employee should call the police if I don't leave. I paid to have a shirt clean that I never got, I was promised $10 refund my inconvenience that I never got, I was refused further service told never to come back, and treated very poorly. The problem with the owned happened today 02-05-11. |
