I am retired and I needed some new glass, my wife purchase eyeglasses from Global Eyeglasses before and the service were pretty good. So I went ahead and order some frames for myself because they had a buy one get one free special (BOGO). The frame cost $18 I thought that was a great deal, I need progressive lens and they cost a little extra, both glasses came up to $182.00 with the special lens. I receive the order, and the lens were blurry I coudn't see anything and the frame was too small. I called global eyeglasses to inform them of my discomfort and to let them know I will be returning the frames, they told me to send the glasses back and they will fix it. I had to pay an additional $11.90 for shipping, they blame me for reading the prescription wrong (which I didn't read the prescription at all) I email and fax a copy of my prescription to them, anyway they blame me for the screw up and charge me an additional $82.00 for the new lens. Now I have no glasses and I'm out $275.90 total. I call customer service, the operator was very rude she kept me on hold forever, told me she can't refund the money because it was my mistake, she said I read the prescription wrong when I place the order. I called numerous times, the operator would pickup and say she will not speak to me anymore and I need to speak to the CEO of the company, there are only 2 of them working there, the operator and the lab manager and I spoke to both people with no avail. I am out $275.90 I have no glasses and no where to turn to get my money back. I just don't want these people to think they can get away with things like this, taking advantage of people. I will NEVER order from them again. They are CROOKS and they hide behind the internet because you can't get in touch with anyone, they do not answer your emails nor your phone calls!!!!! |
