I am a Soldier located at COB Speicher, Iraq, I am not the only Soldier or the first Soldier to use Ripoff Report to report "SniperHill.net". I will not be the last person to make a report also. This company has been ripping off Soldier in Iraq for over three years. They claim to be the best and fastes internet service provider in Iraq, they are pretty much the only internet service provider in most locations in Iraq. A Soldier can buy a satellite dish, cable internet box and spend over 14oo dollars, to get internet without them. They advertise High speed, reliable affordable internet service, you get better internet in the states, paying a third of the amount that they charge. They claim it is because of the cost of providing the service. They use cheap modems, the basic cat v cable and they use third world nationals to run their operations in Iraq, who really do not know what they are doing and when Soldiers call for complaints, they always report the problem is with someone else, they do not give refunds, even if they are down for days at a time. This is by far the worst internet company I have ever dealt with and I have been dealing with internet company's for over 15 years in many different countries and states. Their monthly services start at $50 a month for 96K download speed to $110 a month for a 256K download speed. That is an out and out lie. The company does a great deal of false advertising on their website. I was trying to get some inserts from their website but surpise it is down right now. I am using a military internet service to write this article because when I started writing it, my room's internet service was down again. I think this company is due for an investigation by some government agency that is suppose to be a watch dog for Soldiers rights, for company's performing tax fraud, false advertisements and company's running monopolies. I think people should look into this company, ecspecially if they have friends or family in the military in Iraq. |
