SCAM!!! DON'T BUY MUSIC FROM THESE PEOPLE After speaking to an entertainment lawyer who is all too familiar with Blue Pie's reputation I've contacted all three of the charities Blue Pie claims to support. The American and Australian Red Cross say they've had no dealings with Blue Pie or Hurricane Healing and while it is against World Vision's policy to disclose donor information their offices advised me that World Vision "has not endorsed Blue Pie Records (or any of its affiliated businesses or companies) or the Hurricane Healing compilations." The Salvation Army continues to investigate... "Hurricane Healing" claims to be donating 50% of all proceeds to hurricane relief. I'm doubtful of the veracity of this claim. Lawyers have cautioned me that several artists (myself included) report that they've not been paid the artist shares (20%) promised to them for contributing songs to Hurricane Healing's "fundraising" compilations. Blue Pie has released 80 Hurricane Healing compilations albums thus far. Several years ago, I contributed 1 of my songs to their "record label" called Blue Pie for what they claimed was a charity compilation called Hurricane Healing. Soon after, I discovered Blue Pie was distributing my entire EP (sent to them in order to audition songs for the compilation) without my knowledge. I spoke to "Damien Reilly" numerous times by phone and email demanding he cease distributing my work and sent notice to terminate our agreement in 2006. Though Damien agreed to delist my material, in writing, to date my request has gone unfulfilled and HH continues to distribute my music via online distribution outlets like INgrooves. I am now formally notifying all of Blue Pie's distribution partners, in writing, to cease and desist any distribution of my material in connection with Blue Pie, Hurricane Healing or any of their affiliated companies. If you are an artist who they've scammed, I encourage you to do the same DON'T BUY MUSIC FROM THESE PEOPLE!
If you want to help with hurricane relief efforts donate to the , and directly And if you wish to purchase indie artists' music seek out their websites and purchase from there. ARTISTS DONT SEND YOUR MUSIC to "Hurricane Healing", Blue Pie, or whatever name they'll be going by next. And pass this info along to every independent artist you know. IF YOU ARE AN ARTIST WHO'S BEEN SCAMMED by "Hurricane Healing" I encourage you to post about it here and everywhere the "Hurricane Healing" compilation is being sold.

Damien Reilly (CEO Blue Pie Records) has done nothing but "Lie" and tells us "BS" ever since we told him that we didn't want to invest in his 20K Blue Pie Media Campaign for my daughter's music.
In the meantime Blue Pie published my daughter's contract "online" for all to read including her bank account information, SSN etc. What an Unprofessional - Amateur Operation he's running at Blue Pie!!!
Damien's bottom line is; How much MONEY $$ did he make on any given day…
"Do Not" I repeat "Do Not" deal with this "Rip Off" Artist!!!
Find a "Real" Record Label with Real Music Professionals (In The Music Business).

Several film production crew did some contract work for Damien Reilly at Blue Pie earlier this year. Five months later, we are still waiting for our payments.
Over eighteen times, Damien Reilly has stated in writing and verbally that he will pay the bills by a certain date. When the date passes and the bills have not been paid, he suggests a later date. Many crew members had to resort to numerous phone calls and visits in attempts to obtain their money. Many are still waiting to be paid. However the work the crew did is being used on the Blue Pie Record's website.

| I think that both are you are ill informed and the company that they run is ethical and honest and does incredible good work in the community. I know that they donate their time and energy as well as financially support a number of communities and charities. I feel your comments are not based on anything other than vanity and perhaps a lovers tif. All their registration details are there for all to see for their corporate registrations. The I believe that the company pays its contractors and yes sometimes late but they do get paid. How much have you donated to a charity recently and can you produce the historical community support that they can ? |

Damien REilley took me for US$22, 000, and released my daughter's unfinished song to Itunes and a movie, not a cent has been paid back. He sent us to the USA costing me another $20, 000 and then I had to pay for the masters - Damien Reilly now claims he owns!
His property dealings are no better... DO NOT deal with him under any circumstances. I'm considering a class action - anyone want to join me? |

I know first hand on the working of Damien Riley. This guy owes people money left, right and centre.
You can do a search on ASIC for Insolvent businesses and you will see that Damien Riley has several business that have gone into liquidation, most notably Blue Pie Productions PTY LTD.
Damien is also a bankrupt.
Also just after finding this post, I done a search on the HH complication cd, my band in on a few of them. Actually we are on like like 20 different compilations that I didnt know about.
I know all about the film production scams as well. We are also owed a crapload of money as well, we just dont have the funds to fight him. So we just boiled it down to the machine ripping off the artist again.
But I would seriously be interested in getting up a class action against him, he just thinks he can get away with this, and I would like to be part of anybody that is willing to help stop him.

Damien Reilly relies on picking people off one at a time. He tries to bully people by saying that he will tie them up in court for years. How can he possibly do that when he has no money??!?!?!!? Call his bluff and join forces to get him. You may not see your money but you will take him down and make sure that he doesn't do the same thing to other people. Even now he is trying to do deals using lies and deception. He has cheated people, stolen their money and destroyed their dreams.
He has released material without artist's approval. He has and is still making false claims on his website. He has failed to deliver the services that artists have paid for.

I regret signing with them.. After submitting my music, they ignore my emails even with simple enquiries.. I've been tryna contact those pricks for 2 years now..

Damien Reilly owes some of his employees thousands of dollars. Blue Pie hires employees from abroad, promising to support them in their Visa Applications and so the staff, stuck between a rock and a hard place, are bound to keep working without getting the payments that are owed to them. This is blatantly taking advantage of the less fortunate.
Damien Reilly provides incorrect company details for contractors so that when the contractors seek their payments, they find it extremely difficult to pursue what is rightfully owed to them because they are seeking their funds from a company that essentially does not exist. And in the legal sense, a contractor could take Damien Reilly or Blue Pie to court under Mercentile Law, they are unable to do so as they have been purposefully misinformed on who they have done the work for and so they can not obtain their funds. This is taking advantage of decent hardworking individuals.
Individual Contractors attempting to obtain the money owed to them endure a series of threats, abuse, personal attacks, belittling tactics and avoidance tactics as Damien Reilly refuses to pay what is owed to them. There have been times where Damien has even questioned the contractors work, even though the work has been used by Blue Pie. It seems this man will do anything to get out of paying bills. |

It's a cliche, but I really don't know how Damien Reilly sleeps at night. He must feel quite nervous walking around in a town where he has ripped so many people off.
Every single person I have encountered who has had dealings with him has been repeatedly lied to. Their concerns have been deflected and ignored. Constant attempts to make contact have failed. They have not been paid. (I know of just one person who worked with Blue Pie who WAS paid. They were paid several months late and only after legal action was taken).
I have performed on tracks that have been used in this Hurricane Healing scam. We were never paid a cent.
I played on a track which was part of the soundtrack for the biggest selling iphone app at the time. Not a cent.
I hate to actually think about how many tracks, digital-releases and compilations probably exist out there, under the Blue Pie label-scam, that myself and my colleges have created and poured our hearts into.
Even though we have ceased dealings with him, he maintains control of our original website & URL and refuses to relinquish control of these. My band was forced to create a new website under what is essentially a inferior URL.
And then this half-arsed, faceless defence-

I can only fully concur with the comments made in this forum.
...except of course with this mysteriously-similar-to-Blue-Pie-named Blue Vault Digital's comment. Apparently SOMEONE still believes Damien's lies.
I was naive to believe any of Damien's lofty promises, but on a scale that pales in comparison to his unscrupulousness - no that's an understatement, his pure evil.
I suggest anybody with problem with Damien go to The Arts Law Centre. Just make sure you do it BEFORE you terminate your agreement with him.

However, recently Ingrooves has begun the process of taking down content. Thanks in large part to people like you on this site, who are willing to voice your dissatisfaction with these outrageous actions taken by Damien Reilly and Blue Pie. He has scammed thousands of dollars from good folks - ruined some indie artists careers. It is difficult enough in this industry for sincere artists who are just trying to share their gift of music. We cannot tolerate such blatant disregard for the integrity of the process as those advanced by Blue Pie and Damien Reilly. My music by "The Wolfman" has been illegally sold by Blue Pie and Hurricane healing for two years. Not only have they not taken down my music after I terminated the contract (based on the fact that Blue Pie Australia went into liquidation, they even released new compilations with many of my tracks via Hurricane Healing and other Blue Pie releases. I fully support the movement that is building to stop this theft!

UPDATE: We recently found content Damien Reilly released under another artist name! INGrooves is removing all Blue Pie content from their distribution.
However, the good folks at Believe Digital are giving BP another outlet to release his pirated distribution content.
And, Sonic Bids, is continuing to offer the Blue Pie opportunities on its website despite knowing the scams that have been perpetrated by Damien Reilly/Jon Taber/Blue Pie and labels. Unsuspecting indie artists are paying money to submit to these opportunities? |
