Believe what you read when you hear of how much of a scam this company is. I unfortunately didn't to my research (totally dumb on my part) and after talking with Matt Volpe with Homesafe America believed they would be able to help us. He told me what I wanted to hear, in regards to what we should qualify for and how easy it would be for them to help us. He asked that I send in our paperwork and we agreed on a payment plan. $1,000 upfront and then the rest a month later. I sent in the paperwork, which included my credit card number for payment.
It literally took the company 1 minute after I sent in the information to have the $1,000 out of our bank account. There were a few items of paperwork that I wasn't able to send in with the original documents but after I spoke with Matt Volpe, he said everything looked great and not to worry. Right then and there, I was already worried. He said that someone would contact us in a couple of days. Two weeks and nothing from the company. I sent an e-mail to Matt asking what's up and he said not to worry, someone would be contatcting us shortly. Nothing for at least another week.Sent him another e-mail and low-and-behold someone called me about 10 minutes later, never heard from Matt though.
Christina was the person that called me and said she would be helping us. But the only thing she wanted from me at this time was our banking information. She wanted our account number, routing number and so forth. She said all the laws just changed and they can't take CC's anymore. I told her that I wasn't about to give her this information and she said that she would speak to the lawyer who is supposed to be helping us and that he'd probably be disappointed that we wouldn't give it to her. She also said that Rose should be calling us and was surprised that she hadn't already. So, she yelled in her so called office down the hall and said "hey, have Rose call the (our last name)" What company yells to everyone? Don't they use e-mail or the phone to contact one another. I could honestly hear a tv in the backround. We've never heard from her again. Still have no clue who Rose is.
Finally, I got fed up and sent an e-mail to Matt Volpe asking for our money back and he replied that if we were unhappy that he would be more than willing to give us our initial deposit back. I sent back a reply saying that "yes, please send us our money back". That e-mail was returned undeliverable, which was created by Matt Volpe himself. I have sent in 3 other e-mails asking where our money is and all have comeback undeliverable.
Do not go with this company, if it's even a company at all. They will totally rip you off. I'm now looking for a legit company to help us before it's too late. I don't believe in using my name or city, only because I'm a proud person and would hate for friends or family to see we're struggling.
