Home Meat Market Boise idaho Update fromIdahoHome Meat market Boise, Idaho |

I received a call from a representative of Home Meat Market from Oregon. I explained my situation and that I filed for a refund according to Idaho law. The company Home Met Market explained since I had eater a portion of their food, according to their supposed contract, I could no longer return the products for a refund I explained as best I could that one way or another I would be getting a refund, the conversation quickly turned sour. The owner of the company got on the line with me and I explained my dilemma in a clam collective tone. The owner was obnoxious mean spirited and he called me an a**hole. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. How bad is this this company to resort to such low brow tactics. I explained how it would be so much easier if they would simply represent themselves as they truly are and stop the lying and misrepresentation of the quality and the price of their products. I mean really, cutter grade meat with tons of additives and terrible tasting chicken parts for over $7.00 per pound. How horrid it must be to run such a business with the vitriol spewed at them daily. How can anyone with a conscience run such a business. It would be so much easier on everyone if they would just halt the non stop lies about their products and quality. At any rate I explained again to the owner that one way or another I would be getting a refund. But the simplest path being he could simply refund my money or I would engage a legal team. He shouted a few obscenities at me and stated emphatically “I've been in this business for over 20 years and I've never lost in a refund dispute” Sounds like this com any operates on the fringe and is used to these sorts of calls. Stay as far away from this scam s possible. I still have no clue how they got our name but somehow my wife and I have been marked as suckers. Here is their typical profile and sales scam. 1. Target age 60 or older 2. Get inside the house and start bringing out all sort of boxes of meat products. Talk fast over promise and misrepresent the meat as all USDA choice. 3. The pitch begins by them stating they have a delivery that has gone awry and will make a heck of a deal on some extra meat. 4. The salesman says he is NOT on commission (what a crock) and this choice restaurant quality meat is on a promotional basis. They are pushy, rude, they lie and they will not let up 5. At the end of the high pressure sales pitch they say they will throw in some chicken and fish, At this point we have said no a half dozen times but he is relentless 6. They make it sound too good to be true with this 100% guarantee. 7. Make the check out to the sales rep not the company. That should have been a red flag 8. Watch them laugh all the way to the bank as they have screwed another senior citizen They have this tried and successful sales scam straying far from the truth. I wonder what their sales meetings are like. How sad it must be to resort to such tactics like lying and clear misrepresentation just to make a few bucks. How terribly terribly sad for that company and their sales force. Now I am forced to hire an attorney to get our money back. I will seek additional damages if at all possible. My wife and I are embarrassed and ashamed we got took by these crooks. Let this be a warning do NOT engage with this company. Once in your house you more or less surrender. Now we have to spend quality money to get this company to live up to their guarantee. I ill let you know how the second part of this goes. As the owner said earlier he has been at this scam for 20 years and never had to refund any money. As I see it there is always room for a first! |
