I am another customer of Home Choice Plans who has been cheated, lied to, ignored, and dismissed by this company! In November of 2010 one of their sales rep's conned me into purchasing a plan with them. I say Conned...because I was very skeptical about joining, and he made all kinds of promising about the legetimacy of his company only to back away once I filed a claim six months later (May of 2011). My claim involved the repair or replace of my home water heater. One repairman came out and reccomended that the unit be replaced (I paid the service fee as required), only to learn that Home Choice Plans rejected their reccomendation. The repairman did the only thing he could do which was to leave me with a patch temporary fix, warning that this could be dangerous! My heayter stopped working in less than 2 months later! I once again submitted a claim to their claims office. When the local company (a different one) came out, this technition submitted the very same results which was....my hot water heater could not be safely repaired! He too indicated that the unit should be replaced right away as it created a fire hazzard and rendered my home very dangerous should I choose to evencontinue turning it on. There went my hot water for weeks to come!! It is noe July second and the company has done absolutely NOTHING to honor their contract to replace my unit! I have paid my premiume 2 months in advance since December of 2010 and yet, I have been left holdint the bag. I am incensed, enraged, and mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it any longer! I invite all of you that have vented your displeasure with this company to join me in filing a CLASS ACTION SUIT against "Home Choice Plans". Please email me at harleyb590 if you feel that your rights have been totally dishonored by this company. If the numbers are consistent with yur complaints, then we should move forward.
