To whom it concerns, My husband & I were guests at the Hilton-Doubletree on Front Street, San Diego CA from June 2nd - June 5th. I was checking out on June 5th and the only thing I was supposed to be billed for was $60.00 for parking, EVERYTHING else was paid for, When I checked in, the woman at the front desk said she needed a credit card for incidentials and for parking, everything had already been paid for, but when I was checking out, they said that I owed for the entire bill of $685.69!!!! I explained to the manager - Roy Lanaderg, (I believe that's his last name, his name tag was upsidedown) that the travel agent had already paid for the rooms & I only should be billed for parking. He said that nothing had been paid for and that he ran MY CREDIT CARD for the whole bill and it had been declined!!!!!! I was more than furious, this is inexcusable. I could not believe the way I was treated, he said he also ran the AMEX used to hold the rooms and that was declined and that I was respondsible for the bill. Not only was he saying this in front of everyone in the lobby, like I was some kind of deadbeat, he just kept smiling and laughing a little, like this was a big joke to him. I finally told him that under no certain terms was I going to pay them twice for the same bill and I would speak w/ the travel agent Monday morning. He finally agreed, and then I left. When I spoke w/ Number1 Travellinc - Sue Shiffman and she stated that the bill had already been paid, she called Doubletree Monday morning and they had no idea what she was talking about. Then to add insult to injury, your hotel then charged me twice ($60.00) for parking. I called and spoke with Rena at Doubletree 619-819-4697 and she said that I had not been charged double. I had only been charged $60.00, I told her my online bank balance states otherwise and she said that Doubletree probably put a hold on it, and it would clear in 3 days, it has not. I would like to speak with someone regarding this as I will not call Doubletree in San Diego again |
