HotJewelryAuctions.com is a SCAM!! They say their jewelry is certified as new and fine jewelry. And that satisfaction is guaranteed.. and all they are doing is stealing your money! I bought, what I thought was a 10kt gold bracelet with diamonds and rubies. I went to a jewelry within 3 days to check it's authenticity, because I was actually disappointed when I received the item. It looked nothing like the picture they had of it. When the jeweler examined it, they tested it in front of me and explained what the tests would tell them. The scratch test with the "gold" revealed that in fact, it was not gold. Not even gold plated! The rubies were no more than play gemstones that people place on their clothing. The diamonds.. well, needless to say, were fake. They had their "ACA" certification (which is not truly a company) stating that the "Conclusion: New Finely crafted Jewelry with all genuine Materials as described". It's estimated replacement value was said to be $1,190, when in fact it's not worth more than $10 on a good day. When I called them after I had gotten home to explain to them what I had found out and that I wanted my money back, the supervisor "Joe", got very hostile with me. Calling me a liar and an idiot and who checked the Jewelry out were liars and idiots. He asked me for the name of the place that I had it checked out at and I told him where it was. I had taken it to Helzberg Jewelry. He didn't know who they were and demanded I told him who the person was and that he was going to put a lawsuit against them. He can't because THEY actually sell REAL jewelry!! He then hung up on me. I called back, and he hung up on me again. Then again. I then called back and instead of asking for him specifically, I told the guy that answered the phone to let Joe know that I was going to file a complaint, which I have and get my money back. |

Regarding: Hill Street Jewelers, Inc. AKA Hot Jewelry Auctions.com d/b/a Jewelry Overstock Auctions and Paramount Auctions, et al. SCAM & FRAUD ALERT !!! Personal experience: MY experience with this business started in March 2011. I purchased "Genuine" and "New" jewelry advertised by said business hosted at an auction website: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/browse My total came up to almost $3, 000 USD (including a 15% non-refundable auction premium based on your total invoice). To the point, the order I received was severely not as advertised with words such as costume jewelry, fake, counterfeit, fraud and scam coming to mind. I immediately contacted the seller, spoke with the supervisor/owner named Joe. As another had described her experience: http://www.my3cents.com/showReview.cgi?id=91851 I experienced the same vile and belligerent treatment from Joe. He has a string of lawsuits hounding him all the way from Arizona thus, the many changes of business names: http://www.internetlibrary.com/cases/lib_case587.cfm Allstates Certificate Advantage or ACA is his own: http://www.acacertified.com/ (notice it explicitly states that it exclusively produces documents for auction sales for Hot Jewelry Auctions) Long story short, after filing a claim with paypal I finally was awarded my refund and it's now already May! If you find yourself entangled with this bottom-feeder, file a police report for fraud and turn in your evidence to the department of consumer affairs and/or the attorney general of california. In a nutshell, either give him your money for nothing or don't do businesses with him expecting to get your moneys worth. Research for yourself, google: (a) hot jewelry auctions complaints (b) jewelry overstock auctions scams (c) paramount auctions scam With sincerity honesty, -Sui Generis.
