Hewlett Packard HP Computers HP Knowingly Sells Defective Touchsmart Computers To Trusting Consumers , Internet |

Do NOT buy the HP Touchsmart 300! HP has been selling the touchscreen series of computers to the unsuspecting consumer with full knowledge that there are serious and I mean SERIOUS defects with the product. After only two months my HP Touchsmart 300 began crashing to blue screen, and the error message ranged from "Disable Bios shadowing and caching" to "Uninstall any new software or hardware" to "Page fault in non paged area". The product was released prematurely to keep up with the Joneses, and Windows 7 is NOT compatible with a Touch Screen environment. What good is a brand new HP computer if you cannot install an HP printer with the same OS drivers? If you cannot install Outlook? Quickbooks? HP technical support is now outsourced offshore and staffed by college kids who read from a scripted set of diagnostic instructions, and very often do not conprehend what they are reading. 12 Phonecalls to tech support, and one bench repair later, my computer is still crashing and my warranty ran out today. For the last week HP has told me I had to purchase an extended warranty or they would not speak to me any more after today. So let's get this straight... Americans buy a $1000 computer, it breaks down after sixty days and HP tech support employs stall tactics until the one year warranty runs out, at which time they can no longer speak to the consumer? Numerousbloggers are reporting similar problems with their warranty replaced and brand new HP Touchsmart 300s, which suggests that HP is replacing defecting units under warranty with new defective units,WITHOUT WARRANTY!!!! Americans need to boycott HP until they bring tech support back to the United States and employ people who speak English proficiently enough to actually provide technical support! And SHAME on HP for knowingly selling defective merchandise to Americans. GO AxxxE!! HP will never see another DIME of my American currency. |
