columbus.craigslist.org/fuo/2585271638.html I received a check for $2500 from this person for renting my time share which only cost $750. Herry Robben asked me to deposit the $2500, take the $750 for the time share and Western Union the difference to the travel agent located in Colorado. I went to the bank the check was drawn on and asked them to check that it was legitimate before cashing it. Sure enough it was drawn on an account that had been closed for over a year. |

| This report is right on hits the nail right on the head. This individual contacted me via email to purchase a antique love seat and offered to purchase it in the same manner as indicated above. They would not furnish contact information as requested and sent very poorly constructed emails requesting pulling the craigs list ad for them and refusing as indicated the requested info. We only deal with individuals who provide full contact information and deal personally with cash. This eliminates virtually all possible problems. |

Thanks for posting this con artist's history. I will report him to the Attorney General's office. Today, I received a very similar email for an Craigslist advertisement from herry robben, it reads as follows:

I really appreciate your response to my email and i'm very sorry for
the late respond I want you to consider it sold, please do withdraw
the advert from Craigslist to avoid disturbance, anyways I don't have
time to come over to take a look because of my Business schedule but
you don't need to bother yourself with the shipment, I'll take care of
that by engaging the services of a mover, hence I'll be sending a
check and it will be delivered to you via United Parcel Service, so
I'll need you to provide me with the following information to
facilitate the mailing of the check..

And Your Tel-Phone#: (Cell & Home):-----------------
