Heart Check America Health Screening Plus Heart Check America is scamming instead of scanning your body Arlington Heights, Illinois |

I, too, accepted an invitation for a free heart scan that could detect calcium in the heart muscle. The sales representative who talked with me in the now closed San Diego office pressured me much like a timeshare salesperson would. He offered me different prices as I told him I couldn't afford it. He gave me his "rock bottom" price at last, and I paid for ten years of screening at $1500 up front and charged the remaining $1500 on a Chase card with monthly payments of 136.00 which I am still paying, of course, even though the San Diego office is long gone. And there are the yearly network dues of $249.00. Sound like a timeshare? You betcha. I had the full body scan. I got the result except for the bone density test. I called many times to get that test sent to me. The last time I called in mid-june, the office was closed with no forwarding address. My doctor is totally unimpressed with the scan DVD, and I can't believe that I fell for it. How stupid can I be! I have never been a good resister of high pressure salesmanship. I checked online and found that the company has gone defunct. Then I received a letter fomr Sheila Haddad who is being sued by the state of Illinois for fraud, and she told me that scans are now being done by Health Screening Plus. A number was proveded and the Arlington Heights Road address was given. When I called the number, the answering message said that I would be informed as to when a clinic in my area will be opening up. Back records of patients are being gathered, so that they can be mailed. I really have no faith in this new enterprise. I understand that this new screening company is just the old company reformed. Beware!!! So now I can go to Illinois from my San Diego home for ten years to get a screening. Great. ARGH#(#(# And by the way, I contacted the BBB, but they told me that I should contact the California Attorney General's office. I called Chase, and they told me to continue paying. !!!! Big surprise there. I think we need a class action suit. |

The same thing almost exactly happened to me
I still owe $811
I'd enter a class action suit, but I wonder if ther's any money to go after
And yes I feel stupid also
And yesI've not been able to speak to a person at Heart Check America nor Health Screening Plus.
The scan of my wife showed a fatty liver: she's grossly underweight and showed
a normal uterus which she had removed 3 years prior

I too fell for the heart scanning for 10 yrs. Both my parents died of heart disease of one kind or another, so I really thought I should keep my eye on my heart. I also still owe over $800, and of course we still have to pay because we took a loan from Chase, which has nothing to do with the Heart Check problem, . I don't feel as stupid as I am less trusting now, to know that people can sit right in front of you and lie to your face, and take your money & do whatever with it. Maybe someone there obscounded with the monies, who knows, but they still owe us the scans or the money. It is definitely elder abuse in my book.. They did find a lump in my thyroid, that I had tested, but all the plaque supposedly in my heart wasn't as bad as they made it sound.
I sure hope Lisa Madigan's office can get our money back, I, as most others involved, can't afford to throw away $2, 900.00.

I have the same complaints as the first reviewer. At least my bank told how to stop the payments. When they provide no services I figure Heart Check America has not fulfilled their half of the contract - but they do go on trying to take money without providing services. I think this qualifies as fraud which I gather is a crime. I would think the agency which continues to draw payments for Heart Check America shold be included in a general racketeering conspiracy - since they acknowledge that Heat Check is out of business.
I'll join any class action suit.

I also have the same complaints... we owe over $2700 to Chase which claims to have reviewed my complaint and said the provider said services were provided... we had one scan out of ten years worth that we mistakenly signed up for. They told me to pay. I am going to turn in a complaint to Lisa Madigan and hopefully we can join her in her suit against Heart Check America. There is no group called Health Screening Plus licenced to work in the state of Illinois. So it seems that since they went out of business it would be fraud... take the money and run. Set up under new name and scam more people. When you call the number provided by the new group, they state that they are not licenced and will let the clients know when they are ready to provide services. So, do we stop payment to Chase? How do we go after these scoundrels as a group... We need help.

Go back to Chase and request a Account holder Statement of Dispute, the number to call is on the back of the monthly statement on the form there is a reason check off for " I did authorize the transaction but did not receive some or all of the goods or services". That will kinda sum it up.
Alos file a fraud statement with your CC company contesting any charges by Conrad Acceptance or HCA, then contact Lisa Madigan Attorney General of Illinois and file a Fraud complaint with them then keep your fingers crossed |

We were scammed into signing a contract. $3, 000. We were told that if we give references they'd call them all and if they scheduled appointments with these referals we'd get a $100 for each appointment. so we signed thinking we could get our money back. None were called so we called Heart Check back and they claimed they lost our referal sheet to fax it over. We did immediately. And they still didn't call. I Emailed and said I want to cancel the contract and want my money back. No response. Did this a couple of times. Called this 800 # and was told they didn't have the referal sheet on file, send it over again, I said no, I am not doing it a 3rd time I want my money back. Have never heard back from them. I even left a message recently for this new company Health Screening Plus and still haven't received a call. How do i go about filing this a complaint against them anyone know? - Sonni |

Same as everyone else. Promised 10 years of screenings. Financed through Chase. Got one screening. Now they are defunct. Still paying Chase for something not received. Would pay to join a suit against HCA and Chase for being in on what they knew was an iffy deal. |

Got scammed by them, but I was persistant with Chase Health Advance and they FINALLY reversed all the charges and sent me back what I had paid!!! I sent them all kinds of articles on the nationwide fraud this company was involved in as well as the complaint that I filed with the States Attorney in Illinois. They kept trying to say that they couldn't do anything about it, but I was persistant even after they declined at first. I threatened to close my bank accounts with Chase as well as all credit cards! Be persistant...It may pay off in the end!
NEWS FLASH!!! Another company just like Heart Check has popped up..T3 Health Check is what they are called, and they are even operating out of the same location in Tinley Park, IL that Heart Check was in! I think they are probably using the same equipment, so spread the word for other unsuspecting buyers so maybe we can spare someone else this heartache!!! Good luck to all!! |

Heart Scan of America is at it again this time as American Heart Check at 4050 Barranca Pkwy., Irvine, CA. the person who called us was Alan at 407-800-5927. Now when my husband told me about this I said I was not going. I called Alan to tell him I was not going and he got aggressive saying I had to go told him no. I then started researching them and found all this is a scam. I am just posting this so that maybe it will help any of you find them for legal reasons. |
