Health Option One BEWARE! TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ...CREDIT CARD SCAM , Internet |

I googled "Catastrophic Health Insurance" and got the website http://www.medhealthinsurance.com. I called the 800 number for a quote and got an "Anthony" who proceeded to tell me that I could get health insurance for my family for one low premium that would never go up, have a zero deductible, and pay for everything under the sun. After being duped into giving him my name and the names of family members, I finally smelled the rat when he told me that I had to give him my credit card number before he could e mail me a quote to review. He told me that this was "nationwide coverage", and that there were "only a few openings" and that he could only "hold my special low premium" if I gave him my credit card number or checking account number. He also told me that the application process was "over the phone" and that preexisting conditions didn't matter. I asked him for a website that I could look at and he told me that I could "look at a website with him" if I wanted to. When I told him that I wanted to look at a website by myself and asked him to give me the web address, he told me that he would e mail the web address to me, which he never did. Do not trust these people. I wish I knew how to get someone to investigate them and shut them down. They are creepy and dangerous. |

I just had the same experience almost exactly. I sd I never heard of this company. He said they are based in New York and keep bugging me for my ATM number to make a payment. I explained I didn't need coverage until October and he still wanted my ATM number and he wouldn't run it through until then.
It was too good to be true--includes life insurance, disability at no charge. No copay, no deductible includes office visit, hospital, prescription, lab work---unbelievable. They need to be stopped!! |

It's a scam don't trust them. They just did the exact same thing to me. they offered good things to me but they want to check out their company and call them back. I told them the name of my doctor somehow they found it online and he is in their network. After i told them I couldn't give them my credit card info, the guy was very rude to me. I went online to check them out and realized that it's a scam.
please be careful. my policy is that i don't give my personal info. to anyone who call me. it's necessary i call back to give the info that the company may need. I think everyone should live by that policy. true somebody need to stop them. |
