| Scam artist Mr. Hayden Preston lied to me in order to get my business, took my money, and then almost burned my house down. He was hired to hang Christmas lights at my home. He finally showed up 2 days late at my home to hang the lights. He damaged my lights and materials while hanging them, stopped before completing the job, and then burned out my eletrical outlets when he tested the string of lights that he did hack together. Hayden Preston left with a promise to return the next day. The lights were never finished so they could not be turned on. When attempts were made to call Hayden Preston to schedule the finish of the job, he lied about when he would come back and then would either hang up or not answer when called. Texts to his cell phone went unanswered. I had to hire another contractor to come to my house and finish the job. The lights were so badly damaged, that the new contractor had to start over so that a fire would not be started. Once Hayden Preston got the cash to do the job, he stopped working and never came back. I would never recommend him or his company to do any Christmas lights, or any of the other services he provides for custom interior & exterior painting, power washing, stain decks, stain fences, energy efficiency caulking windows. This man has no integrity and no one should ever do any business with him. |

| My neighbor and I were also burned by Hayden and his Christmas light scam. He was paid in full to put up the lights on our house which he did despite being several days late in doing so but never returned to take them down off my house or the neighbors house. He did answer the phone when contacted but never came by on the date that he said he would despite being given several chances. I finally had to get up there and take them down several weeks after Christmas. This "man" and I use the term very loosely has no integrity. I could not imagine what kind of crap work he had done as a painter but if his Christmas light jobs are any sort of indication, he absolutely sucks at his work entirely. Despite having taken our Christmas lights down, I continue to contact Hayden and leave voicemail after voicemail and will continue until I feel like I've gotten my full money's worth out of this POS. |

| His full name is Hayden Preston New. Preston is his middle name. He doesn't give the same name to every "customer" apparently. We hired him to paint the outside of our house and he left half the job undone after we paid him most of the money. He's a very smooth talker. The only address I can find on him is 7505 Gillon Drive, Rowlett, TX 75089. HIs cell # is 469-471-2368. I may take him to small claims court. |

| We too were scammed by "Hayden Mcnew" / American Painting. He is a really smooth talker. Don't trust one word he says. He was nearly finished with our job (which ended up costing a bit more than the original quote) when his "sprayer broke, " at which time he said he would be back tomorrow. Since there was just a bit more to be done, I went ahead and paid him since he was "going to have to buy a new sprayer." dumb me! He never returned the next day, so to be safe I took his ladders he left and placed them in my garage. He finally returned my many calls after he realized he wasn't going to be able to get his ladders. I then met him at the house to show him the areas that must be completed/fixed. He got to work. I went inside for a few minutes and when I came back out, he was gone, the WRONG color painted on the spots he was touching up and most of the others not even started. When i got him on the phone he promised he'd be right back but he needed to do another job that made "more money." From then, he never came back or returned my calls or hung up on me. |
