Harris Ford Auto
Harris Ford Auto Group Pierre Money Mart bait & switch by manager Lynnwood, Washington
23rd of May, 2011 by User193061
On May 21 2011 I went in to Harris Ford to look at used pickups I drove one but didnt like the amount of miles that it had on it. The manager said he had a truck for 14000, I thought great. I drove the truck, and was ready to finance. I waited until the following Monday and talked to my credit union where I was approved for a loan. When I went back to the dealership the manager started putting together the paperwork when the truck arrived. It was the wrong truck. I pointed out that this was the wrong vehicle that I had driven the Lariat 4x4 not the 4x2 XLT. The salesman insisted that I had driven the truck he pulled up in, the XLT not the Lariat. When I called the sales man (who happens to be the managers son) and the manager on a bait and switch which is exactly what they did, the manager told me to get the f*** off of his lot you dirty rat bas****. I do not recommend this dealership group to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. They are liars and cheaters.

People with less than good credit please beware of this business!

I put an application in with Pierre Money Mart online. I spent a week providing the neccessary documentation and was told both in writing and over the phone I was preapproved for a car loan.

I had a decent downpayment and a 566 credit score. Bad score, but not horrific by today's standards.

Yesterday I confirmed again verbally with my salesman I was preapproved for a loan, which prompted me to sell my current vehicle so I would have money for the down payment. I arrived on the lot in Lake City today ready to buy.

That is when the bull sh_t began.

I was suprised to find out that you are grouped in one of three catgorys depending on what monthly payment you could afford. Each category had a list of vehicles, none with prices, that fall into the varioys payment category. Actually, that is not suprising, the grouping is all about the math and making the loan work. What is suprising, was I was discouraged about asking any specific questions in relations to the vehicles in the various categories in conjunction with the interest rate and monthly payment. I could easily see the numbers were padded.

Not sure how to phrase this so people are beware. If you financed a car that cost $10, 000, with a thousand dollar down payment, and your loan term is 48 months, your payment would be $278. Yet it looked like on their sheet, their payment for this same transaction would be $375. The numbers did not add up.

When I insisted on asking the saleman questions I could see he was uncomfortable and when I asked about warranties he looked like I asked him to chew on glass.

Even though i desperatelyh needed a vehicle, I knew Pierre Money Mart was not my only choice, so I was able to walk away with mild digust and extreme disbeleif that people fall for their deceptive business practices.

Help yourself. If you have bad credit, at least try a "real" car lot first, or even one of the smaller car lots that finance in house. I am confident you will save thousands upon thousands of dollars.
