Hardin County Computers CHARGED $60 TO FIX COMPUTER...COMPUTER NOT FIXED IN OVER A WEEK! Savannah, Tennessee |
4th of Apr, 2011 by User283993 |
I dropped my computer off on Thursday, March 10th with the promise that by Friday (11th) or Saturday (12th) at latest they could either tell me what was wrong and the cost of repair or have it fixed. When I asked about them being closed on Saturday, the guy said he lived right across the river and would even meet me there. That was great since I had to have the computer back no later than Saturday even if it meant he couldnt fix it. The problem with the computer was it was either freezing the mouse until I had to shut it down manually or it was restarting without notice. As much as a pain as it was, I could still use it. Ive always been up to date on virus/everything protection. I did absolutely everything I could do from my end to fix it. It has to be a hardware issue. I told them this when I dropped it off although they seemed certain it was a virus. I went by Friday to check on the computer and was told someone was working on it and it would be ready Saturday (12th). I called Saturday multiple times, left messages, and never got an answer or call back. I called again the following Monday (14th) and was told it would be ready by Tuesday (15th) that they were in the middle of removing viruses. Thirty minutes later I was called to ask the password to Windowsmeaning they havent even started! I called Tuesday (15th) and never got an answer or return call from the messages I left. Wednesday (16th) they were closed. Thursday (17th)a week laterI went by there again and they were closed. I called multiple times and never got a response to the messages left. Friday (18th) morning I went by there again. They were actually working on itor at least going through the programs. They swore Id have the computer that day before closing. I was called that evening stating it was ready for pick up and that it was a virus issue they removed. I picked up the computer and brought it home. Without even hooking it up to the internet, I turned it on. Within 20 minutes the mouse was stuck again! It was having the same issues it always had! They didnt fix anything and charged me for a virus removal for a nonexistent virus! I called them immediately about the problem and they said I could bring it back in for them to look at again! They kept it for over a week after me expressing how I needed it back within 48 hours, fixed or not. I paid $60 for absolutely nothing. They did remove my virus protection and upload some crappy free virus protection. I will absolutely never use them again for anything! They cant keep promises, cant return calls, cant keep the hours posted on the door, and cant fix computers.the only thing they can do is tell lie on top of lie and charge you for NOTHING! |
