In 2004 my wife and I purchased two sets of furniture from Hank,s. A green over stuff cloth, and a burgundy leather unit(couch, love seat and ottman). We paid half down and the remainder on a friends hank CC. From there we were to pay it out over time. I mention this because we decided to pay it off instead( this is were the problems began). Therefore they shipped the furniture out to us, however the leather furniture was damaged when it arrived. The ottman did not arrive. The cloth they were planning on shipping later. The deliver persons took the leather furniture back with them. The company stated they could not fine a replaceable set because that set was being replaced. They were planning on continue looking. In a few weeks they did bring a new set out, however it was used and had food between the cushions. We mention this to them and they ststed they would fine another set, but allow us to keep that one until they found one. The ottman still had not come. Eventually a cloth set arrived. It was ok temporarily. We began to have problems with it. We also had paid for the furniture service Hank's promote on both sets of furniture. The cloth got a stain on it and we requested the service and from there it went down hill. We eventually had to carry the entire cloth unit to its north store were they repair the furniture. The repairman could never fine his way to our home(this was after a couple of months) They tried to sale our furniture and then threaten us to come remove it from their property. We also had to pay for the service to get repaired. The leather furniture which was used also was peeling the top layer to eventually it became spotted. The warranty company stated it didnt happen over night, so they werent planning on repairing it. We found out later they did send money to Hank's to replace the set, but Hank's did not tell us and keep the money. For several years we have tried to resolve the issues. Their Cooperate office has been rude and refuse to cooperate. The Manager team over the years has known of the situations, but state they can not help. Salemen and Managers who knew of the situation were ignored when they came forth to help. Recent, within the last month we contact Hank's once agin trying to resolve issue and requesting them to replace springs-frame(which is still under warranty) Front counter tried, but manager called later and stated its no |
