2 months ago, my husband, son, and I took advantage of a timeshare deal in Branson, we went to the program, and although much longer than described to us, were VERY interested in purchasing a timeshare. We signed a paper that would insure the price for a year, and paid $1,000 for a week at the Resort and 2 cruises, that would cost and extra $150 per person, and our son would be additional as well, so not exactly a great deal, but we wanted to experience the resort before we payed for something we had not experienced/ I booked my reservation 1 month before we left, I explained to the rep that we did not want to sit through anymore sales pitches, and we had deterimined that we would experience this week and see what we thought when my husband got his bonus in March we would buy it if we had a good experience. We were so excited to leave for our week vacation! We had taken the tour and were so ready to enjoy the beautiful room that was promised to us. We were shocked when we opened the door! The appliances were old, the furniture was awful, and WHERE was the king size bed, and luxury shower? Not to be seen, so we said well we are very glad we didn't purchase, but we will take it up when we go to tell them we are still thinking about it. That night, and every night after it, we got no sleep, you could feel every spring on the bed, and my back is still out of whack, I slept on the pull out sofa everynight, and my poor son had to sleep on the floor. 1st day in we went to the pool, the cholrine level was so high my son's eyes hurt for 2 days after, mine hurt as well, but it was miserable for my son (6). I took him to the restroom at the pool, and it was covered in diarreha, and you could tell it had been there for awhile,, disgusting. We then discovered we could use the outdoor pool at the other property, Crowne View,, we had to drive about 20 minuted, but a lovely outdoor pool, until about 5 minutes after we got there,, 7 cars pulled in with no Grand Crowne parking passes, at least 30-40 people who were not guests crowded into the pool, several of the people we were chatting with called, but nothing was done, it was total chaos, and a fight even broke out, still nothing was done. Thursday we had our appointment, now they were very clear that we had not made up our mind, we walked in to tell them, and they wanted and answer from us then and there! We paid $1,000 for the right to have a year to make up our mind, my husband was so mad he just walked out, they forced me to sign away the right to have our year, and would not refund my "reservation" deposit, or my$50 show credit. I feel really mislead by the whole thing, we have stayed at Big Cedar many times, for about $600-$700 for the same time frame, and enjoyed it very much. I hope someone can help me, because it really is awful to be duped out of your hard earned money for a "less than" Motel 6 experience! |
