Grand Central Photo RIPPED OFF BY SCAM COMPANY THAT NEVER DELIVERED PURCHASED PRODUCT BROOKLYN, New York |
8th of Dec, 2010 by User435055 |
BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a Sony Camcorder on 11/27 and after payment was processed and I had received e-mail confirmation, I then waited over two weeks for delivery. After five attempts to call their customer service number and being on hold for eternity, I gave up and left a voice mail. Today, Grand Central Photo called to say that the price for the camcorder had gone up and they couldn't fill my order for my agreed purchased price. I lost two weeks for product that they didn't obviously have in stock to sell. |

AVOID buyherephoto.com its a complete scam company from NJ. I had ordered a canon flash from them via their website. The next day I got an email telling me I had to call the company to confirm the order. When I called i was on hold for 20 minutes then a sales person came on and proceeded to tell me I was not ordering the correct flash for my camera, and he had a better one he could sell me. I told him I wanted the flash I had ordered and after he kept trying to sell me something different and me turning him down, he said he would process my order and get the flash out right away. Here it is a week later and I called buyherephoto to now find out that the canon flash is on back order for 4 weeks maybe more. They then tried to resell me on the first flash I declined in the first phone call. Total BAIT and SWITCH fraud. Finally I got them to cancel my order... Now I have to watch my credit card to make sure no random charges show up. In conclusion if your looking for camera gear NEVER and I repeat NEVER use this FRAUDULENT company BUYHEREPHOTO they will show the best prices on things to get you in then try to switch the product. I am filing a complaint also with the BBB to see what they can do about this company. |

I had EXACTLY the same experience with these guys. Eternal hold times on the phone...switched to people's voice mail...a total and complete rip off bait and swtich "company". When I finally was able to talk to a human rep, it was clear that the item they were shipping was the wrong model. What's more, had I purchased that incorrect model, I would be paying $140 more than the Amazon price. It was my own greedy fault for falling for their obvious bait and swtich scam. Do not deal with these guys. |
