I took my van to Grainys on Monday 4/4/11 to have him look at the front tires and from end, Jack told me to drop it off so he could look at it on Tuesday, while I was there he called about the tires and gave me the price I told him to get them. I drop the vehicle off Monday night. Tuesday afternoon I called and talked to Jack to see where he was at with my van he told me he was waiting on a part he would have it Wednesday, again I reminded him to get the tires and take the vehicle to Steve Baldo for the alignment when it was finished. Wednesday afternoon I called again to see where he was at with the van a gain he said he was working on it I told him I needed it completed by Friday. I didn't call on Thursday. On Friday morning I called again he told me that he needed to change the Idler arm and Tie rod end on the driver side, but the ball joint on the passenger side wasn't the problem but the upper control arm on the passenger side that was replaced the year before by my previous mechanic I had for 23 years never tightened it up and it was loose for he had to tight those bolts up, (that it way I was looking into changing mechanics because my previous mechanic had made a few mistakes on my vehicle and I didn't want front end problems on my van while towing my 24' boat) I asked about the tires and front end alignment and Jack said he hadn't done that he would order the tires and put them on that afternoon but he wouldn't have time to have the front end alignment done when I picked it up just run it somewhere and have it done. I left the van there Friday night 4/5/11 until 9:00 pm no new tires. I took my van home and called somewhere else to get an appointment for new tires and front end alignment. I went Tuesday 4/12/11 to pay Jack for the work he did I beleive the price was too much for what he did and for the aggreviation of not having my van all week and not finishing the job I hired him to do, I told him I was unsatisfied with his work and I was hoping to find a mechanic for the next 23 years he swore at me at least 25 times I told him I couldn't believe how he was treatng me and mentioned putting this comment on here and he threatened to sue me like he did someone else and won $9500.00 and he hoped I would post this so he could take my money. He told me was calling the police because I was trespassing, I was there to pay him. The police did come I told the officer what happened and he told me to leave and he went to talk to Jack while I was leaving and the officer was walking up to Jack, Jack was yelling at me to get off his property.
I would NEVER go to Grainys again and I believe there are others who have had problems with him out there.
