Gnut6211 Debbie Bozarth Wedding Dress DISASTER! Internet |

I tried to be so patient but was VERY dissappointed with the result! I bought 2 wedding dresses from Gnut6211 on ebay, one through an auction and the other, I gave her pictures and asked if she could make a dress comparable to it. What a load of *@!!! I even gave her the list of materials (fabric) that I expected and she returned an email stating that she was able to do that. After a "delay in production and shipping", I received my 2 dresses 2 months late and all I got was a simple email explanation stating, 'please be patient' in horrible English, which made it incredibly obvious that the seller was NOT located in either Napa, CA or Los Angeles, CA but in fact, China where the dresses were being created... little did the buyer know. I figured it was too late to turn back and only made my wedding date because we decided to push the wedding back 3 months AND I told her at latest I needed in in August when I knew my wedding was scheduled for October (even though it was pushed back to December). Regardless, I was incredibly dissappointed when I received the dresses. What made me most upset, was that my mum could tell that I was so excited thinking about it and she could see how horribly made these dresses truly were! I should NEVER have bought online and I shouldn't have tried to save that $300. Despite her positive ratings on Ebay, the material she used was nothing like I had asked and in fact, the material was so light and thin that it was SEE THROUGH! I had to purchase a very thick slip so that my underwear wouldn't show on my wedding day! Initially, I had inquired regarding bolero jackets but later changed my mind and told her what I wanted instead. The dress that I asked her to make would include long SLEEVES attached to the dress with a zipper-close. Instead what I got was a small jacket that had hugely long arms, tiny arm width, excess fabric in the back and fake buttons to make it look like there was a zipper. And the dress? Well, it was strapless and corset back!! The method of attachment was two snaps on the chest of the dress that made the jacket's fabric pull so that I couldn't move my shoulders. AND, they weren't even symmetrical! One was roughly 5 inches to the side, the other was roughly 3 inches. The embroidery was literally falling off and not sewn on, but obviously glued! The train was so long that I needed 17 bustles to make it semi-reasonable and still, it was so long that hubby and I were stepping on it throughout the night. In order to even make it somewhat wearable (having invested $600 dollars, buying a new dress would have been impossible), I had to pay $400 dollars just for alterations including: shortening the sleeves, taking excess fabric from the back of the jacket and adding it to the upper arms, taking off the buttons that were already falling off, 17 bustles, a cleaning BECAUSE IT SMELLED LIKE DYE AND SOMETHING NASTY, and the attachment of the salvageable embroidery pieces. I spent roughly $1,000 on my wedding dress to be "okay", not something I'm proud of, not something I would ever wear again, and not something that I want to see hanging in my closet. I want to donate it but I honestly feel bad for the next bride to wear that dress, even if they get it for free!! After all is said and done, I might just cut it up and use it for cleaning cloth because that is basically the kind of trash that Debbie Bozarth aka Gnut6211 had sold me under the false promises that she was able to do what she said she could and lies by telling me that the dress would be made in Los Angeles. Do not use this seller EVER and beware of any of similar scams with dresses online. Sidenote: I have purchased other dresses on ebay from manufacturers in China and have been very happy with my purchases, but wedding dresses are different. Learn from my experience! You do NOT want to look back on your wedding day and see your pictures and say, "Man, what a mistake." |
