Global Travel Solutions Global Travel Solutions Refuse to Refund My Money! Montvale, New Jersey |
7th of Nov, 2011 by User398822 |
We have bought a $6,000 platinum membership last Oct 28, Friday, and as we were buying it, I asked Rudy (the last agent who finally sold us the contract) about return policy and he said it's 3 days. Anyway, when we got home, about 2 hours after we left New Jersey, we decided to cancel it. I called up my Visa bank and was told I needed to see it in my statement first to dispute it and that they couldn't block it because I authorized it. So I called up the 201 number (201-215-4413)(that's a number I saw in one of the papers and I thought that being in New Jersey, that 201 number would make sense). I talked to a certain Ruth and I told her we wanted to cancel it and she said she would convey the message to a rep the next day (Saturday) and that they would call me back. The next day, nobody called up so I called up again and spoke to a "Ricardo" about cancelling it and again, he asked for the contract number and that he would convey the message to a rep again and that I would get a call back. Nobody called back again so I called after an hour or so and talked to a certain "Anna" and I specifically asked if the messages got conveyed to the sales people and was told that they should have gotten my previous messages. Wrong! Or I think they intentionally ignored it!!! The following Wednesday, I checked my credit card statement and saw the $6,000 charge with a phone number. I called it up and was told that to cancel it, I have to fax the request in writing to a number (the title company fax number) - and she told me it was in the contract that I signed. I explained to her that I have called the 201 number and was never told to fax it to any number. She told me she would fax my letter of explanation about the calls i had made and the formal request for cancellation. She told me too that I was 1 day late because Saturday is a business day for the company and the contract said I can only cancel after 3 business days. (We bought it Friday and we cancelled it Wednesday. To me Saturday is not a business day.) The following day, I got a call from a certain "Dave" from the company and that he didn't know who the people I had talked to and I challenged him to call the 201 number that I used. He sounded like he did not know what the number was. I told him we wanted to cancel it. The next day, Rudy(the guy who finally sold us the deal) called me and asked me to go back to New Jersey to sign something that I was cancelling it. I told him I didn't have to do that because I had faxed my request for cancellation and that I wasn't changing my mind. He said I couldn't cancel because I was 1 day late. I had asked my Visa bank to dispute it. I had also read Bob's complaint and the other complaints. I have filed my complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. I am in the process of filing my complaint with the Attorney General of New Jersey. If you have other ideas for me to extricate our $6,000, please reply. I asked Rudy if this is the way they scam people and he said he would let the Customer Service people contact me. What a reply! What a way to earn a living - fooling people!!! |
