gethtatwholesale.com are, to put it mildly, a bunch of rude obnoxious con artists who will agressively bombard you with insulting phone calls and emails if you kindly ask them not to call.

getthatwholesale recently contact me at my place of work. It was their 5th call, and they never remembered having spoke to me before.

This call was different.

I initially had a nice chat with a lady over there, who was friendly and polite, but using the same scripted responses they all repeated. If you have dealt with them, I am sure you have heard them same "I like your products" I few times... Not that they know what your products are.

getthatwholesale on this particular day wouldnt take no for an answer. I was quickly contacted by another person over there. It was actually my mistake, I had confused their organization with another similar entity, which had a similar name.

The young man was caffinated and agressive. I kept telling him politely that I was not interested. He kept talking anyways. Eventually, I interupted him and kindly told him that I was simply not in a position to discuss signing up at that time. I was happy to do so later...

His reply?

getthatwholesale apparently does not appreciate being told to wait. He began insulting me, asking me how I could ever speak to him if I didnt give him time at work. He was rude, unprofessional and agressive. I, not wishing to begin an arguement over the phone with a stranger, hung up. I had better things to do and he had called me right in the middle of a project, without the decency or courtesy to even ask if I had time to chat.

I thought that would be the end of it. getthatwholesale proved me wrong.

This angry young man sends the following email. In his mind, I was the rude one!

"Rarely do I ever have someone hang up on me. You are not professional.

Tracie stated you told her you were already working with me? you are not. This was a blow off.

Your company is ranked over 5 million by alexa.com. You have ZERO traffic and nobody is finding you.

YOUR FREE LISTING IS BEING REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.

If you have an issue with this, please call our owner Robert Light, his ext is 703.

I have advised him of your conduct and he would be more than happy to return the favor by hanging up on you."

I was a little shocked at this point. We have a great list of customers and are doing very well as a company... Yet this angry little man from getthatwholesale seemed to suggest we needed him. He must feel like a very big man, sitting in a small office with 6 people, sharing a desk with the 'owner', while he makes calls and sounds important. I found it comical. As it was late in the day, I decided to reply:

"Hi Joe,

I hung up on you because I simply will not be addressed rudely, especially by a caffeinated angry man who thinks I owe him a favor.

I am sorry if I offend you, but perhaps you should take responsibility for your tone, use of language and over all ?pitch.

I made it clear to your colleague that I was busy. I made it clear to you also. I stated that we were interested, but we did not have the time or resources to engage fully with your services at this exact moment.

This did not stop you from demanding that I stop what I was doing, which was replying to a customer of ours who was placing a 5 figure order, and give you time to go over something which I had already been shown before.

I actually confused you with another Joe from toptenwholesale, whom I am working with. But I have spoken to a few people at your company, and they all start off by complimenting us on our products I apologize for the confusion I caused, but can you blame me? Your website names sound very similar.

I politely said I did not have time. What were your exact words? Let me tell you:

Oh, are you at work you

Yes me, a little puzzled.

Well, then when can I call you? I cant call you at home, can I? I am only asking for 30 seconds of your time You

I stopped listening at this point. You voice and tone were very insulting and not at all professional. You were clearly angry and not having a good day, deciding to vent on me for some strange reason. I find it perplexing and humorous that you emailed me and flipped the issue.

I would gladly explain all this to anyone you would like, but I doubt it would do you any good. Frankly, I am wasting enough time as it is to reply to you. But its the end of the day and I feel it my duty to remind you that ?acting professional is not about getting things your way. Its about common courtesy, something you clearly lack right now.

As for us not being found we sell to just about every big nation-wide entity in the USA, and internationally we are growing each year. We have hundreds of orders monthly, and supply entities like TJMAXX, ROSS, Dressbarn I could list name after name, but I do not see the point.

I am sorry you took all this so personally. Please calm down. I suggest you control your angry better, and actually listen to those you engage on the phone. I made my position clear, but you did not listen. And then you began aggressively insulting me I am sure you call hundreds a day and many are rude to you. But you were rude to me initially, and I hung up as to avoid retaliating I clearly failed in that regard.

Please take us off your contact list. And please refrain from insulting anyone else today. "

I thought I was calling his bluff to a degree. getthatwholesale might have been a good company, with potentially just one rotten apple amoung them who thought it a good idea to be agry and mean to potential clients...

I was wrong. The 'owner' replied to me with the following:

"If you put as much time into deciding a marketing program as you do your insulting emails you would do much for yourself.

My best advice to you would be to spend thousands with top ten wholesale (and no, we sound nothing alike.)

My executive was upfront and honest with you. You hung up in his face. Your email is bizarre?

We do not have a list.

Future emails from you will be sent to spam."

Do anyone else feel like they have entered the online sales marketing 5th dimension? These online marketers somehow think its good business practices to insult potential clients...

Remember that I was polite and only asked to not discuss their services at that exact moment. Next thing I know getthatwholesale is insulting me and acting like a petulant little child that did not get their way.

I encourage anyone thinking of signing up with getthatwholesale.com to simply not do so. After this coorespondance, I did some research. They have very bad reviews in a number of locations and several scam reports.
