GE Money Bank Sam Levitz accounts They make agreements they do not keep. Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Orlando, Florida |
19th of May, 2011 by User946310 |
I purchased furniture from Sam Levitz on the 24 month same as cash plan. I made my payments on time, and almost had the furniture paid off, when the sofa broke in half!! (On top of credit practices, their products are poorly made.) Believing that they honored their contracts, I purchased a replacement in 2008. In 2008, the old contract came due for whatever I had left owing on it. GE Money also rolled up the new purchase (which was supposed to have another 24 months on it) into the old one which took my account balance over limit. I made arrangements with them, believing they would honor their agreement. I paid the payment arrangement as promised. They did not honor their agreement to remove the over limit amount and the fees. I have been fighting with them for 3 years now. I have made 3 payment agreements with them, none of which they honored. I made a settlement agreement with them on the 9th of May, 2011, to close the account. They said they would send me a confirmation in writing. Today the payment is to go out of my account, and they still havent sent me a letter. A call to them, gets different answers from different people. Besides the fact that the furniture was the worst stuff I ever had in my life ( I would have been better off driving around looking for stuff in a dumpster), and that it is all gone because it was so poorly made, the company rips you off by overcharging, making promises they dont keep. Just as an example. A $700.00 sofa has now cost me over $3000.00. Don't be stupid like I was. Don't buy anything from these people or use this credit company! |
