Gamepal Hasn't Paid for Account Internet, Internet |
26th of Dec, 2011 by User336728 |
I used Gamepal on December 21st to sell a Lineage 2 account. After going through their automated quote process, I received a quote of $588 and change. I submitted the proper information, including secret questions/answers. I never received a confirmation email with my order number. I logged into my Gamepal account, and did not have a pending account sale. I thought little of it, as I was leaving the next day for the holidays. Their website states that you can receive payment in as little as 10 minutes. I suspected it'd be closer to 24 hours. On the 22nd, I received multiple e-mails from NCSoft stating a)my account had been accessed by an unusual IP, and b)that my account e-mail had been changed. I knew then that Gamepal had received my account information and had accessed the account. On the 22nd, I sent them an e-mail as I had noticed they had yet to pay for the account, but I could no longer access it. On the 23rd, I sent them multiple e-mails requesting payment, and stating my intention to contact the FBI/IC3 in regards to wire fraud. On the 23rd, I received what looks like an automated e-mail reply from Randy Boyette in their Accounts Department, with the job title Submission Support: Agent 1. The e-mail stated I needed to take no action other than wait. I responded to Randy's e-mail on the 23rd stating my displeasure with the service, and requesting payment. I received no response. I sent another e-mail the the 25th reiterating my intention to contact the authorities if I had not received payment in a timely fashion. On the 26th, I received three emails that were designated as Autoreplies, two of which were titled Customer Support, and another which was titled Order Verification (Buyers Only). They were not signed. I responded on the 27th that I was still awaiting payment. I am also still waiting for my order number so that I can check the status of my account sale through their website. I have received no replies other than what appear to be automated responses. I understand it's the holidays, but this poor level of communication regarding almost $600 is ridiculous. I want to be paid, or I want my account back intact, with all gear, currency, and other consumables accounted for. This is Step 1. As stated, I will contact IC3 for wire fraud charges on the 31st, 10 days after initial account submission. |
