G&G Best Moving Company and Alliance Express Moving Company Moving Company Deception....Ripoff/Scam Internet

Alliance Express Movers, of L.A., CA, gave us a "binding estimate" of moving costs based upon the photos and descriptions which we sent them. Their rep, "Sindi Monzon", could not have been nicer and sweeter and convinced us to go with them as our movers. We sent a $300 deposit and signed the deal. A day after the agreed-upon pickup date, 3 men arrived at the move location in a rental truck and wearing "G&G Best Movers" shirts. We were puzzled; They said they never even heard of Alliance Express, and that the job must have been "farmed out" (their words) to their company, G&G Movers. Wary, we called the office of Alliance Express and were told by one "Velma" (they said Sindi was off that day) that the movers were being "ridiculous", that it WAS the same company. As it turns out, this was the 1st of MANY lies we were told..... After the truck was fully loaded, we were informed that Sindi's "binding estimate" was "way off" and the load was perhaps triple the weight we had been told. They offered us the "opportunity" to avoid a weigh-in which might triple the cost and go then and there with a mere doubling of the cost. We were leaving in 2 days and reluctantly agreed, fearing that a weigh-in would result in a worse result/scam, since we wouldn't be at the weigh station and would have to take the weight "on faith". The delivery was supposedly to be made in 3--5 days as per Alliance, but once G&G had our stuff, we had to wait endlessly, as they gave us repeated excuses and lies, including the old "Gee, the truck broke down" excuse. This, even though G&G Best's owner, the lying "Zach", had previously told us it was already en route and in Utah. (Zach also yelled at us on the phone, warned us not to call him a liar and not bother him while he was "on vacation with his family". He also denied that we could have ever been told the delivery would be made in 3--5 days, (although "Sindi Monzon" of Alliance later confirmed that she had indeed told us that when we booked the job.) The truck arrived in Colorado in a driving rainstorm 11 days later, late at night, but the men insisted on unloading then and there because they had to leave immediately for another job. Also, they wouldn't unload until the balance was paid in cash. (I guess stopped checks are a common problem with this bunch.) All the while we were waiting for the delivery, our calls to Alliance Express to express our dismay and for a price adjustment went unanswered ...until on the day of delivery, their manager, a useless "Tony", finally admitted that G&G Best was NOT in fact related to Alliance Express--despite what we had been told-- but had simply "bought the contract", and there was nothing he could do to help us about the price...we had to take the matter up with Zach!!! (Fat chance.) All in all, this was a HELLACIOUS experience and I wouldn't recommend either of these companies to my worst enemy. I intend to pursue this matter legally, as well as filing a complaint with the Feds, as we feel we were ripped-off and deceived.
