Buyer Beware: I contacted a women name Fumiko Cummings aka Fumi Cummings regarding the purchase of a German Shepherd Puppy, a few months back. I was lead to believe everything in order, breeding confirmed and that breeding would produce the working prospect I was looking for. She made it appear that there were limited deposits being taken on this litter. Of course I rushed to get my deposit in so I didn't lose my chance at this pup. Fumi explained that she only accepted paypal as a form of payment so, I went ahead and opened an account to make the payment as per her request. I never realized she didn’t share any personal information beside a phone number, until much later. At the time that we contacted her she didn't have a website. She claimed it was currently being updated and will be launched soon. Promised to keep me up to speed of pups through Facebook, Email or phone. I contacted her in July when the litter was expected to be born and she explained the litter was lost almost immediately after being whelped. She offered to move my deposit to the next litter. I recognize not everything goes smooth when your breeding dogs, so my family and I were understanding. She promised to send me litter information via Email and I agreed (never received). Second litter was due just a few short weeks away so I tried to stay in contact with Fumi via EMail, Facebook and phone but her communication basically ended no matter how hard I tried to stay in contact. There were no updates on facebook regarding the dogs, but rather hateful, inappropriate postings and she would avoid nearly any attempt I made to communicate. In early August Fumi contacted me via Facebook to say there is a litter that is available and she believed that the working prospect would be available from this litter. The litter she offered us http://www.littlefireballgsd.com/6.html Uwe/Journey. Neither parent was titled nor of equal quality to the original deposit we left with her, and she denied that saying all her dogs of equal quality; titles; accomplishments; health screenings and hip/elbow ratings didn’t make a difference. That she doesn’t believe in those things. I told her I would think about it, but that I didn’t feel that is was a fair trade off. When I expressed that I didn’t feel comfortable, she basically said you will not get your deposit back under any circumstances. Within a few days of our last communication outlined above. I was reading on her Facebook that she lost the mom to the litter, meaning Journey was dead. When I asked her what happened on facebook, the posting disappeared. The next thing she posted was that she was upset that Oklahoma was in a burn ban and that she wasn’t able to cremate her dog. When she was questioned by others, it sounded to many including myself that she had a common practice of burning her dogs after they pass. But, it seemed not to be done through the vet but rather her on property. There were just TOO many things that I didn't feel comfortable at this point. Buying a dog from a breeder who seemed to be losing dogs left and right. Being offer a puppy from a litter that neither parent was titled nor of equal quality to the original deposit we left with her. Getting a puppy from this breeding, where mom/ Journey was dead and the puppies were being raised on a bottle which made me very uncomfortable. Facebook postings/comments nothing was making sense to me anymore. My wife decided that she was going to do a little bit of research because we felt like this was not a customary practice of any breeder. It didn't take long to come across the information we were lacking from the beginning. We came across several postings on the Internet that outlined Fumiko Cummings also known as Fumi Cummings doing business as Zwinger von Kleiner Feuerball, caught red handed in poor businesses practices. On 8/7/11 we formally requested our deposit back. Our request was promptly denied. So we opened a complaint with Paypal directly, which took about week for them to decide they don't get involved nor cover the practices of sale of live animals. We immediately contacted our credit card company and opened a claim, requesting our deposit back. As any credit card holder can tell you these things take time. We decided to take things into our own hands at this point. When my wife was researching we ran across three breeders websites, that had a warning/buyer beware/trouble in the making. We of course contacted each of them and were saddened by the information they offered. At this time my wife also stumbled upon Fumi’s website at http://www.littlefireballgsd.com Furthermore, she claimed to be a vet tech of 20+ years on her facebook account as well as her website so we went ahead and contacted both Oklahoma State as well as California where she was originally from according to her facebook. Neither state recognized her as a vet tech. Once I brought the facts to Fumi about not able to find that her claim of being a vet tech to be true with either Oklahoma State nor California the claim on her website disappeared and quickly! 8/15/11 we had sent a very simple straight forward Email requesting our deposit back again. Which was ignored; she removed us from her facebook account and wouldn’t take any of our calls from this point forward. After much research and digging we’ve found the following information on this kennel that thought it would be RIGHT TO POST THIS IN HOPES TO SAVE SOMEONE ELSE THE HEADACHE, heartache and monetary loss. Both breeders have the same details but different circumstances. Both breeders were willing to share their side of the story to however asked. They were detailed and very straight forward about the dealings they’ve had with this women. They didn’t bash her, badmouth her, place false claims. Merely the truth. My question was, has and will be - How is it that two well known breeders from different parts of the country both have the same issues with the same person? Yet she is claiming they are both the scamartists, liars, thieves? None the less our deposit was returned from our credit card company after several weeks of their own investigation. I’ve since replaced my deposit with another breeder (mentioned above) and not had a single problem. I received the puppy I was promised, parents didn’t die, puppies didn’t die, paperwork was in order, and I had a deposit contract, sales contract and guarantee. I hope this warning will help others avoid the mess, we went through. Best of luck to all potential puppy buyers. You need to check the kennel out, check references, makes sure you have contracts and proper documentation for deposits and payments furthermore make sure you are dealing with a reputable kennel before going a step further. |

Yes, she has passed away. I asked this website to remove the post as her company is no longer in business. She obviously is no longer a threat to whatever audience they believe they are protecting.
That was nearly a month ago. Clearly they are more interested in dragging a dead woman's name through the mud than protecting anyone.
Looks to me you all should consider where the real scam is here. How many real threats can this website be putting forward if they must do this to my dead daughter to make their living. Anyone know a good lawyer?
